Watch as I unbox a complete set of fairings from Amotopart for my Ducati V2 Panigale Bayliss Edition. This video is not sponsored by Amotopart, so I will give you the most honest review, including an in-depth look at all the flaws and imperfections.
Make sure you watch until the end, where I compare the original fairings with the Amotopart fairings.
Disclaimer: discussion at the dealership is not representative of the dealer or the advice they would collectively provide. It is the opinion of one individual who works at the dealership. This individual was not specifically looking for any differences in the fairings, so it was a little unfair to spring the question on him. This part is only included in the video, as it demonstrates that the bike with Amotopart aftermarket fairings did not raise any eyebrows whilst the bike was getting the software update from anyone within the dealership. If you’re not specifically looking for the differences, they are not easily noticeable. Once you know the fairings are aftermarket, only then do you start to notice the disparities.

I ordered a set a couple days ago from Amotopart. Great deal at $770 CAD for my white V2. Great to see the quality, especially since you mentioned they fit perfectly. Thanks for making the video.

I hope they are fantastic and meet your expectations. Please let me know when you receive them. I’d love to get your feedback, as I will definitely not stand behind a product if I know that someone I recommended them to was disappointed. With the V2 fairings, I’ve been recommending to people to reinforce the bottom tab that joins the bottom fairings together. This tab is really weak and I snapped mine. Reinforce it with fibreglass or something similar if you can. I’ll try to make a video on it soon. All the best!

Thanks mate, great video. I've been comparing AM fairing suppliers online and like the look of the amotopart ones. What shipping option did you go with?
@diymoto3952
@diymoto3952 10 месяцев назад
Hey mate, I went with the standard free shipping, which states 20-25 days I believe. It took around 5 weeks in reality. Something I forgot to mention is that you can customise your design of the fairings, which is pretty cool. And just remember, if they’re copying a factory Fairing design, chances are they’re doing it from a photo, which is why mine weren’t precisely the same. One more thing… being ABS plastic, be careful if your fairings have plastic tabs. They are strong, but not as strong as the original OEM. Hope this helps.

Hello, I notice the upper panel doesn't come with the damper/sound arrester. Can you reuse the oem ones? or are they sticked to the oem panel? Thank you!
@diymoto3952
@diymoto3952 6 месяцев назад
Hi, not sure what you mean by damper / sound arrester. Are you referring to the little rubber grommets inside the upper Fairing? If so, yes, I used the OEM grommets on the aftermarket fairings.

Wow i have to order for my white v2… dealership won’t take an order of bayliss ones 😂

Just remember, if you order Bayliss ones for your white V2, your tank will still be white. I know with some bikes you can purchase a tank cover, but not sure about the V2. I’m sure Amotopart can advise you. All the best!

How much heat do you experience riding the Panigale?
@diymoto3952
@diymoto3952 11 месяцев назад
Riding through town on a warm day (anything over 25degC) is very hot. I now try to limit my riding to the country only, as the bike is designed to keep moving. It doesn’t like the constant stop starting at traffic lights! 😃

I was very nervous about ordering my fairings from Amotopart. The company claims its headquarters are in the US, California, but when I received the box, it had Chinese writing all over it. I believe the parts are all made and painted in China, but as you see in the video, I was quite happy with the products. I just don't know how long they'll last, but that will come with time. There was another company I was looking at, MotoXP Ricambi in Italy. Their fairings look amazing, and being Italian manufactured, I'm sure they're much better quality than Amotopart. However, they're more than double the price! For my V2 fairings, they cost more than $2000 AUD before shipping! I paid $900 AUD with shipping, so there's a very big difference. It depends what you want to spend.

Here is a link to MotoXP Ricambi. I couldn't justify the extra cost of these, but they look nice if you can afford them. www.motoxpricambi.com/us/

Hey mate, thanks for the comment. I just took a quick look at the website and V4s fairings all seem to be 2018 - 2022. You should try contacting them. Is there a difference between the 2022 and 2023 fairings?

To be honest, I couldn’t tell you. I really didn’t feel much of a weight difference when I picked the aftermarket fairings up, but I didn’t actually weigh them. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@diymoto3952 2022 V2 Bayliss. Going to take her to the track soon so I wanted to mothball the OEM just incase. I ordered the solid red so I can apply my own livery.

@@billrogers7928awesome idea! Please be aware that since the plastics are ABS, they are not quite as strong as the OEM plastics, which I believe are a blend of composites. I only had a problem where the two lower Fairings connect together at the bottom. I overtightened the bolt and broke the tab. Also, use your OEM fasteners if you can. The ones they supply are no good. I had no other problems with fitment and it all went together very well. If I knew about the bottom tab issue on the lower fairings, I would have reinforced them with a bit of fibreglass. I’m planning to do a follow up video on how well the fairings are holding up. Overall I am so happy with them! Hope you love yours too.

I ordered from amotopart and I will never order from them again. This guy doing this is doing a review for amotopart. My fairings are shitty. There are water marks under the clear coat. Gouges under the clear coat. So the paint job was bad and they still clear coated. They do not respond to any communication. Phone calls emails or their website. Don't buy from amotopart they suck. I paid $570.00 and I just went with the regular fairings that was originally used. So it wasn't some special paint job, it was basic and they messed that up.

Firstly, please don't accuse me of doing this review for Amotopart. I paid $900 AUD for my fairings and I took the same risk that you did, after watching other reviews on RU-vid. I'm sorry you received poor quality fairings and I don't know why Amotopart are not responding to you. This is the first negative review I've received and I'm disappointed to hear. Now, as you can see from my video, my fairings were excellent. I pointed out all of the blemishes; I didn't hide anything. They weren't perfect, but very close to the originals. I even did another video 6 months later to show how they've held up. Troy Bayliss himself saw my fairings last week (video is being edited now) and he didn't notice they were aftermarket. The dealership didn't notice either. So please don't question my honesty. I'm not a big RU-vidr with a huge following, so what do I have to gain? I don't work for Amotopart, so I don't have any insight into what has changed there. All I can say is that I really hope they get back to you, and if you'd like me to try to contact them, I'd be willing to try to help.
