Better info than most others. We use simple silicone-glue to attach the cap (at inside rim hole). Silicone is soft and easily pressed out, as per video, using large socket or pipe-fitting. Only needs a tiny amount to hold in.
If you just need to put wires in them, got to the local hardware store, Ace, Lowes, H.Depot, Holcomb, 89, etc. Go into the insulation dept, get the short wire for holding up the insulation between the rafters, floors, etc. There is a small box of them. I’ve bought mine over 20 years ago, they are handy. Just bend the wire in a circle to fit your hub cap, works like a charm or factory fit.
I bought some cheap aftermarket Volvo caps and when I went to the carwash, the paint came off. After that I spent the extra and bought real Volvo caps. They are much better. I did use the cheap ones for about a year, though, and they never fell out.
Hi I need 57.7 mm Center caps for my non factory rimes. They R made in Germany for Volvo .The size is different than OEM. My were lost by Tire company when / for balancing. THX.
Oh ok cool looked really close when next to each other . I’m fixing to put alfa Romeo center caps on my fiat Abarth . Fiat owns Ferrari and Alfa so Should look cool
Holy crap you're being way too meticulous, the tire shops normally just stab the wheel onto the wheel balancer and the center cap pops out into their hands metal clip at all
They do need the center cap off to put it on "balancing" machine which you use to make the wheel+tire combo have as little as possible imbalance, if there's too much imbalance the wheels will wobble and do noises at, roughly 60 mph / 80 mph speed.
