@@hannahfocken I would love to have a lesson from you sometime. I live in Oregon and play with the Eugene Highlanders which is just a small local parade band. I’ve only done a few pipe grade 4 competitions because highland games are rare around here. I’m originally from upstate NY. i started playing when I was 10 but only on the chanter. My parents moved out here and didn’t pick it back up until I was 50. I took lessons from Eric Albert for about two years and have taken lessons from Jori Chrisholm and some other pipers that our band brings in to help. The last two summers I’ve had to have surgery on my hands and shoulder so I’m working to get my stamina and skill level back up. Let me know if you have availability and how you would like to do a zoom lesson. I can do Apple pay or Paypal

Depends! I have 2 band practices a week which are 1.5hours and then on my own I try to practice around 30-40 minutes a day if I can on the pipes and then I’m always playing around on my chanter when I’ve got down time.
