Two kids with the same name, living in the same city. One grew up to be a Rhodes scholar, decorated combat veteran, White House fellow, and business leader. The other is serving a life sentence in prison for felony murder. Here is the story of two boys and the journey of a generation.

I had the luxury of hearing this man speak. I have heard Hundreds of people live, executives from Chick-fil-A, NFL Hall of Famer’s, NFL commentators, Elizabeth smart. The list goes on of incredible speakers I have heard. No one has ever commanded the attention of a room like this guy. He is so smooth and good

It was crazy reading this book in class and having this Wes narrate visiting the other Wes in prison, like going through security, and how everything looked from the steps from the outside of the penitentiary to the waiting room with the broke ass T.V. that everybody had to bare through before seeing their other loved ones. My Dad knows the Wes that’s in prison including his brother, my Dad told me Wes sells Qurans and other Islamic things for Muslim brothers at JCI. My Dad used to buy his stuff from him personally, and actually spoke to him quite a bit while he was at JCI. My father’s right next to JCI now at MCI (a lower security penitentiary connected to JCI), but I always thought that it’s so surreal that I read a book about the Wes that my father used to see every single time he bought Islamic things to send over to me and my sister to read, and that I was probably the only one in the whole entire school to be able to know someone that knows the famous man that we were reading about.

I’m so confused as to how it’s a college level book? I’m reading it in highschool and it’s not very literarily complex. I guess it’s got perfect things for analysis of psychology and social stuff but otherwise I don’t really see it.

One man was never given a chance in life and dodged real bullets on the mean streets of west Baltimore. The other actually grew up in Bethesda Maryland, one of the wealthiest and safest suburbs in the the United States. While one man was dodging bullets the other was dodging Karen's coming out of lulu lemon. One man is in jail. The other may end up president of the country. Its a wonderful tale of fiction. Its unfortunate because governor wes moore's life story is amazing on its own. Truly remarkable. The book is a fake story. Just not true at all. The juxtaposition of two men who share the same name and had similar life experiences with dramatically different end results would be amazing if true but its just not. Its an opportunistic maneuver by a man who is an opportunist. Successful man but an opportunistic fraudulent story.
