It’s learning about agriculture - from tractors and combines to fibers and honey and spray drones.
Livingston County Farm Bureau recently hosted its Ag Awareness Day, where area students were able to learn about 29 different topics and stations.
“We try to get the kids through (a station) every 15 minutes, so they can see as many stations as possible and ask questions to all the different presenters,” said Austin Phibbs, who serves on the Livingston County Farm Bureau board.
“We have drones here. We have tractors here. We also have animals and different commodities: We have maple syrup. We have bees. We have flowers.”

This is a chance for a Livingston County student to reconnect with agriculture, said Matt Graham, a Livingston County Farm Bureau board member.
“They might have had a grandpa or great-grandpa that served on the farm, so they don't get to see the day-to-day work, get that hands-on learning,” Graham added. “They might get to see this big equipment while on the highway, but they don’t get to see it in person.”
