Any analyst claiming that Tesla will only get 20% market share with their robot taxies really should go get a new job. It's a winner takes most market, just like Google and search engines. You get best by having the most data, and once you are there, no one will get as much data as you can.
How can this guy claim that Tesla would only get 7-8% of the Robo Taxi market in Europe and China? What has this guy been smoking? It's a winner take most market. Even suggesting 20% is quite brain dead.

Agreed, I once downplayed the role of financial experts until suffering 40% portfolio loss amid 2020 lockdown, at once I consulted an advisor with grit and my portfolio was revamped. As of today, I'm just about 25% shy of $1m after 100s of thousands invested.

I have never seen anything like this before. I only own 30 ish shares but my portfolio value over the past few days is literally a straight line up to the point it's like breaking the graphing UI. I was -$800 only about a month ago and now +$1300. If the math doesn't quite add up I bought about 8 shares back in the 170's

As tesla shares owners, we are very very lucky that Tesla only pushes to market products which are actually finished/ready to be pushed to market. If they keep with this pattern on all their next products, they will own the place.

When I own a stock and I feel that stock is way undervalued I sell some of that stock. Then I purchase a call options contract that is 2 years out. When the stock goes back up sometime in those 2 years I sell the contracts and repurchase the stock. I am not getting out of the stock I am just increasing the volatility of my portfolio. So when tsla was at $180 I sold 25% of my shares and bought options. I just sold those options with a 60% return when tsla hit $230. So don’t time the market but learn to use different strategies at different times with a stock.
At 11:06 there is a slide which shows Global Q1 EV Market Share. Tesla is at 18% and GM is at 6%. How is this possible? Tesla has sold 830,766 EVs so far this year. GM is at around 38,350. So Tesla is selling almost 22X EV's to GM. Are they taking 100% credit for the sales of the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV? A company that they are 1/3rd partner in? Bit mischievous.

@@darylfoster7944 well this quarter will be on the order of over 3 billion with Lathrop at 65% give or take so assuming China is the same size and it won’t be at 100% both can deliver roughly 12 billion a quarter in sales not recurring revenue via autobidder so 48 added to 100billion with a higher margin which it already is can certainly move the needle . Long before mega there was power pack and during that time Elon stated utilities will share 10% of profit generated by autobidder. Energy via electricity is 6 trillion global if 1 tenth of 1 percent of that ends being attributed to autobidder at some point that’s 6 billion profit alone . Gambit Energy is pilot program that is owned by Tesla testing out owning a utility provider and the 80 megawatts paid off in less than a year . This is all public record so I say again Energy is the sleeping giant megapack sales are only a small part of the plan .
I can tell you why the stock has surged up again... because I got my hands on a little amount of money, and am about to invest again... every flipping time I manage to get a little to invest, it goes up just before, and drops down afterwards. All time high... yes, that was timed for me. Here's the thing... I still buy, because, to your point, I cannot time the market.
I had money in the account and wanted it to drop to 168 so I could buy one extra share, Thinkorswim just happened to not let me log in until it rose back to 175.... Haven't had an outage in forever but when I want to buy..... of course it does AAARRGRGRGHHHH. SO I feel ya waited for it to drop again and gave up at 188 and it went down right after. In the long run I guess it won't matter but knowing I could have an extra share or three when it's 10k a share will still burn my ass.
Love the stock price going up and glad doubled down when it was low 100s but I really hope it stays above $200. The last 4 and a half years is really tiresome but does give a good time to add when it dips below $200. I’ll add more if it dips back below $200 and it will come for sure. It would be amazing if we see new ath though.

I didn't know all these "other companies " go to space, have energy storage, ai tech, robots, charging stations all over the place...and robi taxi! hmmmm... you sure they all caught up? Teslas energy storage alone is going to be worth a crap load!
It is not bigger yet - maybe in 5 years - the energy business is like shipping an extra 50k cars vs the 450k currently shipped. The factory is at capacity and the new factory in China will take two years to prepare.
I remember Elon said in 2017 that buying a Tesla car meant I could get 30K per year because I could rent it as robotaxi, "next year for sure" and buying anything else was like buyjng a horse. I'm glad I listened to him. My robotaxi business is booming. 😂 Remind me again what the definition of fraud is? 🫠
@@michaelnurse9089 the China factory is supposed to be done in the first half of 2025. Maybe it will take until 2026 for it to be fully ramped. Two megapack factories aren't going to match car production. They would need more like 10 factories to do that. Megapack prices are falling rapidly, almost down to $1M per pack, so two factories will only generate about $20B in revenue. They should be building one every year or two.
@@michaelnurse9089 - At Present, the $ Value of the Energy Business is not yet as big as the Auto Business, but, the Trend Line seems to support the Probability of it Surpassing the (No RoboTaxis) Auto Business, in a decent Time Frame! Mostly, the Customers for The Megapacks, are Businesses with ability to Pay, and to get Financing to pay, and are those that do Solar, Wind, Hydro, Natural Gas, and Also Coal and Nuclear Power! Versus Powerwalls, that are predominantly Detached Homes / Homeowners, and some Small Businesses! Powerpacks, that were originally their Biggest Unit Capacity, don't even seem to be Available at present, as they were blown out by demand, and replaced by the Megapacks! There is probably so much demand at both ends of that spectrum, that the Middle has been engulfed, by the two ends! It'll probably take 5-8+ Years for Tesla to get that business to be Really Large, and while they are Building their Next Megapacks Factory in China, the question is, where would the next 5 Such Factories get built, and when? Malaysia? Europe? India? Eastern USA? Australia? Africa? Canada?
I timed this market almost perfectly. I went over 98% TSLA a month ago. Sold out of everything to load up on TSLA options and TSLA adjacent stocks in advance of 8/8 (I was already 80% TSLA shares before that anyway). I did NOT, however, expect the run up this fast. Never made more gains in a month in my life. But I was also buying TSLA from $100 all the way up to $400 a couple years ago too.
So the foundatition for this year to become the golden one is set in stone, ETF approval, halving are the things people talk about it but the truth is that XAI66X has more of a role than any of these. You really believe it comes down to what mainmedia tells you? If you believe that then you slept the last ten years and you should actually wake up. Having the strongest brand in the world making their own asset, that's something which matters and that is what I would encourage you to understand

1500 in what monetary denomination? Surely not dollars. If you think the stock is going to have a p/e of 400, and a market cap of $5T, I have some swamp land to sell you.
This depends on the Cybercab and the timing of the launch. If it launches next year then I would say you are right. If it launches 2 years from now then it will happen later. The rally will at least happen about 6-9 months ahead of the launch date. Now here is the thing. Does it really matter when it launches? As long as they are ahead of everyone else and the market isn't saturated then I would say no. For others to actually launch a cybercab they would have to be close to Tesla's FSD. Their competitors are not as close to a self drive vehicle. All of this is part of the journey which is not important. In this case the destination is more important than the timing. Within 2 years you will be proven right. So this share price right now is probably $24 and we will see this through hindsight about 2-3 years from now.
Tesla energy, as Elon has told us, will be larger than autos. Look at the YOY on energy deliveries and the margins. As someone with three first names said a while ago "Don't sleep on Tesla Energy!"

A lot of people on forums are talking about selling and buying in when it goes down. I would be surprised if we don't see some sell pressure soon. I'm just holding, I can't risk it.
Yeah when it went up 10% I was thinking I bet selling now would be good then buy back like tomorrow after a pull back. Next day up another 6.5% I was thinking yeah glad I determined a long time ago to just hold. The hard part actually is buying more shares after a run up. If the conviction is we will at least return to and hold the all time high of $400 then buying today still makes good sense. Harder to do mind because it feels like it will come down again (and quite possibly will).
It’s surprising media is still getting away with saying “the competition is coming”. No other company outside of China is selling anywhere near the number of BEV cars Tesla is. And no other company has the margins that Tesla has. People don’t put bots into their Tesla valuation because it’s so ridiculous that they are embarrassed to present it at this point. However, that will likely change in 2026.

The feel is massively improved but it still does dumbass things every drive (in Chicago) or every 10 drives (in SF). I worry that the last 10% of the progress will take 90% of the time. Hoping it does not though...as I invested everything in Tesla.
Tesla share price always falls after a reveal. Wall Street takes one look and says "Elon is an idiot". Only when the money starts pouring in they suddenly all issue buy orders and start saying "Elon is a Genius". They can't look into the future, only the past.
You said you think that a XAI60K will outperform btc. What makes you think this? Are there macoeco, technical, fundimental, or valuation reasons for this?
I think this surge is different than the one in 2020-21. That was in big part due to a huge inflow of capital into the market thanks to free handouts during the pandemic. Not the case this time, in fact many retail investors are suffering from high rates and inflation and are more hesitant to take risks. It’s actually big corps and funds who are well researched who are buying into Tesla this time I believe.
I don’t believe it is going up because of beating estimates by 1%. I’m thinking it’s because Powerwall sales are up 100% in 1 quarter. FSD is doing well. And robo taxi will be announced in about a month and they have to pump and dump. I’m all in on Tesla because Tesla added vision and intelligence to robots. Their first robot is not Optimus, it’s a self driving car. Both robots will do amazing well and make a ton of money. Elon is essentially manufacturing artificial people. These bots will provide services, generate income, but will cost much less than people. We can manufacture a workforce that doesn’t need breaks, money, or health insurance soon. That difference in value which grows everyday will be bigger than the entire value of the planet. In 20 years we will no longer work. We will play games all day and work on our hobbies, robots will care for and protect us. Won’t need money. Life is about to change. This will accelerate more now that Chevron Deference is defeated, that ruling done 40 years ago can no longer be used against Tesla or SpaceX. Elon’s companies will grow even faster now that interfering requires an act of congress.

You should know it's easy and hard to make that much profit. I say EASY because it's very possible to make that much, and Hard because you'll need professional assistance to do it, I'd suggest you get assisted by a market advisor.

I heard those were momentary adjustments from movements by institutions, or financial segments, often reflected and shown in the after hours as big dips that come right up, kind of scary otherwise but a kind of artifact of a days activity.
It is easy to understand. 90% of investors believe TSLA is a car company with a PE ratio of 100 while all the other car companies have a PE of less than 10. In other words, it is heavily overvalued, so short it. Then the shorts get burned periodically as the full reality of business developments wipes out negative sentiment. Changing the World takes 10 years and most 'investors' just want to catch the next ticker movement.
Only very few people can trade after hours, so a single firm can move the market quite a bit. Sometimes its a firm buying because they believe in the stock, sometimes its shorts covering, sometimes its a firm rebalancing their portfolio, there is really no way to know.
@@michaelnurse9089 fair points but historically many of the bigger shorts actually wished to destroy the company. And its specifically because they are aware of tesla as a disruptive force in multiple arenas. Also Keep in Mind Tesla is a Retail stock meaning average joe has won big while smart money by and large got their teeth kicked in. possibly you meant 90% of all investors in market. obviously majority of Retail in Tesla believes in "other" Tesla products to varying degrees.
It's not just a few more deliveries that matter but: More deliveries than production. This will impact margins and earnings meaningfully. Energy rocketed. Extra $500m this quarter alone. So another 1.5B this year at current run rate. Staff cull - Some of this will fall into the bottom line. Cyber truck - Ahead of expectations & should bolster margins. 08/08 - market slowly beginning to realize this could be meaningful.
Don't understand your comment about production and margin. They sold 33k out of inventory. Lower production means lower capacity utilization, which means lower margins. Cybertruck most likely has negative margins at this point. That might change by year end. I think the stock is rallying primarily on the energy numbers. Just recently, some analyst had predicted only $.50/share earnings from energy in 2026, but that number appears to be way too low.
@@darylfoster7944Producing less than the previous quarter will not be a meaningful drag for margins. However Q1 produced 46k more than they delivered in Q1. That was a significant impact to margin because you have spent the COGs but not incurred the revenue yet. Q2 delivered 33k more than they produced. So they pulled from inventory. This is a positive, since those COGs have already been realized. It's also a significant jump in deliveries from Q1. Definitely expecting a margin bump from this. Cyber truck may still be negative as an item on the statement but it will improve overall margins because production has doubled from beginning to the end of the quarter. It can only be positive for margins from where we are to where we are now. Economies of scale will kick in. Energy is definitely a factor for the bump but I think 08/08 has the market beginning to reconsider the accepted narrative around Tesla. Auto to AI company.
In a world with so much sophisticated math about akk sorts of financial stuff, why don't we value every analyst based on whether their price targets are actually predictions or are just chasing the current price around the chart...couldn't be hard to make such an indicator could it...

It looks as if energy might be the new thing to move the stock upwards. It finally looks as if it is going to make a significant contribution to the bottom line!
So, I see a red flag that no one is talking about, from the 2024 Annual Shareholders Meeting. At 1:55:08, Musk says, "So, achieving affordability is actually, at this point, more about the rest of the car than it's actually about the battery pack..." Musk basically said battery packs aren't getting any cheaper from here. My takeaway from that is that profit margins aren't going up and the Tesla Model 3, at $38,990, is about as cheap a car as Tesla can produce.
