Regarding the incident at 5:50, where you attempted to reinforce the trench with a second company of troops, but said company went out of the trench, this is due to the connecting trench 2nd slot being full. This slot is effectively the space where the troops would pass through, but since it is currently occupied, your attempt at reinforcing via the trenches would result in the company having to pop out in order to make the trip.
Just Binge watched this whole series, and I must say, Quite the progress made! Econ first build was unexpected, but does seem to be paying dividends now, and the masterful defense in that second battle, I think that couldn't have gone any better with the troops at hand, I certainly couldn't hold as long as that! Something to look forward to in the coming days it seems. Cheers mate!
Hello buddy Love the comment :) Yea we are kicking it off now , just tou wait when you see episode 13 , I just need to press a few buttons 😉 Yea strong econ fuels war , which is going to pay off when I can purchase medical tents , tanks , planes while the enemy lags behind. Honestly that second one everyone did their duty
Hello buddy , thanks for commenting and tuning in :) I know right ! It's snowballing at the moment , I was nackard last night but still did a video , finished around 2200 Commitment ;)
It's expensive, but 1 little MG in that first battle would have roasted them! Of course it's hard to tell when you're out of their artillery range. Well fought!
You let saint-menehold regenerate a star, that was a waste. A province regenerates a star if it's not attacked, even if the attacker loses, the defender will not regenerate.
Wasn't expecting a ceasefire in the first battle and I'm glad it wasn't just me who noticed the heavy artillery bug thought I was going mad once again am amazing video
Hello. I would like to say you are doing an admirable job in your compaign. If i could offer a suggestion, take a more close look at the metric: trench skirmeshes lost/won in every after battle report. Focusing improving that metric in every fight will bring you through costly assaults. And a observation. Most people are having the problem of infantry company not sticking for movement to the trench. This might/ might not be because the trench is too small. Certainly, this could work as a good additional mechanic in the game. Or..or this mechanic could depend on a veterancy level of the troop companies.
Hello :) You can always offer a suggestion 😀 I do look at those details briefly but I'm not sure what I can actually do in terms of losing less lives in cqc in the trenches apart from using better quality troops. The path finding seems to not be able to adjust itself when things change, which I hope is improved upon
@@MoisTeaGaming Firstly, i would like to say that you are doing good job in that metric. 13 mele skirmish wins with 8 losses in the ep. 12 in a full frontal assault is not bad. Cant say i have all the answers, maybe timely rotation with a fresh unit would be enough most of the time. Some losses are just unavoidable. Each lost skirmish is a loss of a company or two, though. Reconstituting a unit with high rank will cost much more, so savings, in case of success, will add up even more later in the compaign. Sidenote, just the fact that we can turn attention to these details is good. Some compains require comments about the merrits of artillery supression. I dont know why you commited to never pausing the battles. Maybe its just your personal standards. Like some people would not be cought playing on anything but the highest difficulty for youtube. This is fun to watch if the game has been out for couple of years. I think people should give themselves some slack for the first full playthrough.
Hello :) Thanks buddy ! Not gunna lie ,i was well tired doing that one 😆 still turned out decent didn't it. That's a good question ! Not sure what we could gain though unless we could take some points
the submarine event you are talking about it was the british cruiseliner RMS Lusitania which was underway and had considerable amounts of american aboard as she was sailing back from Uk to Us New York, when she was torpedoed, the ship was operated along by the same company as the titanic( to my understanding on the matter) sunk 7 may 1915 by torpedo fired from U-20, RMS Lusitania and Her half-sister RMS Mauritania were both sunk due to enemy action during the war.
@@Hunpecked indeed.both ships were operated by the white starliner company(prior and likely duting the war),what made sinking of the lusitania so shocking was the conduct of the u-20 not giving a warning prior firing at her, conduct which was considered civilized at the time by neutral nations.
@@MoisTeaGaming To my understanding, atleast when i was a child/pre-teen this was taught at the elementary/ junior hugh school history class, had to look up the date and her sisterships name though.
@@MoisTeaGaming Hi, not sure if you'll read this since the video is out since last year, but minor addition to the Lusitania: It was later confirmed that the crago hold of the liner was filled with ammuniton and weapons for britain, which made it a legal target either way. While the americans did not enter the war because of the sinking of the Lusitania it changed the stance of the general public in the US against Germany although many people had their roots in Germany.
100 versus 5k killed. Damn nice. And in 2nd battle you held until the last man. You'll be awarded a medal general (and screw all those dead soldiers) :)
Hello again luba :) Always good to find your comments Went better than I was expecting, didn't think they would give up so easily however without the arty their losses would have only kept climbing !
@@MoisTeaGaming I'd say the AI is decently good with the units and with making decision, when to stop (apart of that tiny thing, when AI is calling cease fire, when it basically has you). Thank you, I'm glad you find my comments reply-worthy. :)
what i have encountered is that while attacking, your troops cannot cross over a contested trench. if a trench has a melee going on, and you direct troops to enter a trench behind it, they will stop in the open and be gunned down quickly.
Yea, it can be tricky . At least iv sorted it slightly by allocating one to each trench to attack, which reduces the amount of getting stuck. Think path finding could do with some improvement
@@MoisTeaGaming you would have won in the sense that you would have inflicted massive casualties beyond what you did with almost no way of losing that point. Its not bad that you got the cease fire, just could have killed more of them with more or less the same result. You are doing overall very well! Keep up the good content! Am enjoying it for sure.
I wonder if you could've retaken your other two control points in the first battle. You didn't have any trenches there for the enemy to occupy, so they may have been unguarded. Or any troops you sent might have been smashed by artillery, and pushed it to a loss.
@@MoisTeaGaming I think you made the right call. You still came out ahead in money and national will, so it would've been an unnecessary risk considering how few companies you had
@@MoisTeaGaming The Battle of Verdun was fought from 21 February to 18 December 1916 on the Western Front in France. The battle was the longest of the First World War and took place on the hills north of Verdun-sur-Meuse.
It seems like the AI artilery and obvs balloon can see the entire map no matter where they are placed. Even when they are on the offensive, their artillery is always placed at the back of the map, which would be useless for us because our artillery doesnt have that kind of range. I even had one instance where i destroyed all enemy artillery, only to be fired on by artillery about 2 seconds after the last one was destroyed lol. I know there are loads of accusations of AI cheating and most of them are bs, but the AI equipment definitely gets a lot of buffs and bonuses that we dont get, especially on higher difficulties.
Hello :) I don't think so personally , from my experience it should be the same , Iv also seen the ai stick infantry right forward to hit me, which is what I do to them on an offensive. Iv never felt that the ai cheats or has a buff
should have continued first battle since they didnt have artilery they would have taken much more losses you basically wiped one of their 6 corps'es for 100 men. you could have had killed all of them for about 1000 men. 1000 for 20000
I understand how this can be however I hate it when people ask for subs so I went for this option , I have reduced it further , atm I'm looking for a way to make it more transparent
