It doesn't seem to me that she lives alone at home, certainly not in isolation from people. There are families living around and you can also hear children shouting in the background. The videos are charming, to attract people to watch the videos you write all kinds of titles..

I love watching Maria do all her tiring chores. That is a lovely place she tends to. I live on a mountain also but it is nothing like that now. It was pretty close when iwas a child but now i am almost 89 years old. Old ways are gone and so is happiness.

Another fascinating look at the life Maria leads up in the mountains, it was really good to see that from time to time, when Maria needs some help, others will come and assist her with some of the heavier toil that living alone makes it difficult to cope with. I am an elderly man living alone and I am aware of how hard it is to do things without an occasional bit of help from family or friends. Was that borscht that Maria fed her helpers? It was made with her usual speed and efficiency and from the expression on her face when she sampled it before serving it up, Maria was well pleased with the outcome. She is a champion cook in my eyes anyway and I doubt anyone would complain about what Maria placed in front of them at the dining table. Such a pleasure to watch her managing her day as always, so another thank you from me. 😁

That house has hardwood floors, walls, steps and ceilings. It’s beautifully designed with angles and decoration to enhance the wood. Some talented person was a master carpenter for sure. Many of us in the USA would be unable to afford such materials and workmanship. It’s beautiful!

There will always be some jobs that women do better and others that men do better. In Canada, those lines are not as clear as they were 50 years ago, when men and women focused on what each could do best. Maria is so self-sufficient, but it must be very tiring for her. I am concerned that some of the work she does is a bit dangerous to do while she is all by herself. So glad that these men helped her heave that hay up into the hay mow (loft). The trade-off was a delicious borscht and bread. Nice to see mutual working together. Peace to Ukraine!
