I have one I think you would enjoy greatly: Tell Me Anything by Skye Kilaen. 38yo Derek first meets 26yo Isabel when she get's preyed on at a bar. It's pretty clear after that that she's just had the worse luck and on top of a new ex-boyfriend, she also cannot afford her previously shared apartment anymore. It has all the hurt/comfort you want between two people slowly falling in love and a lovely found family to support them. He is such a cinnamon roll and he can be rock for Isabel while she is finding her feet again. Oh, and they're both bi. But the main selling point: the man does diamond paintings.
Hi, Chelsea! I had a thought the other day and thought I’d recommend it as a possible category for your recommendation series: best friend romances. It’s honestly one of my favorite tropes in any media, though I have to admit that I’m not well-versed in the trope in the reading world (mostly because I just started getting into contemporary romance in the last year or so). I hope you’re doing well. Please pass my love and cuddles onto all the four-legged babies.
Just a heads up, i've heard the author's trigger warnings for The Confidence of Wildflowers are really lacking and its suggested you check reviews first. I know the spoilers and if I went into that unprepared, I'd be pissed.
