Thank you boys, been a long time since last saw you. Thanks Eldred, for " for helping me in need when at a difficult, transition up to Paradise River in mid winter.
my dad just passed. he was an artist who traveled by riding his bicycle from state to state. sort of a vagabon. he was my heart. i found (in his meager things) a photo of me when i was three (after my parents divorced) and the name of this song was one of three written on the back. he died this year with me being 40...i think finding this song on the photo meant something. thanks for the video because i cant find this song anywhere.
Love this song growing up in Prince Edward Island and liveing in Ontario it reminds me of the style of music I grew up listing to and fell so much in love with
I never knew there were so many of you north of us who sing country music.....all of you are good should live there. I am amazed...its like I should live there....near Labrador....where the hell is that? Put a bottle of Whiskey between next to you guys and sing all night. And call me over. I'll hitch hike to Labrador. Ha! Ha! (lol)
I know what you mean. I grew up with old time music in my small SK hometown. Lately I've started listening to traditional Canadian music. NL, Maritime, P.Q., Ont, Prairie, BC. I'm fascinated by it all.
Enjoy listening to you and Selby. Great singing! Started listening to your songs last winter in Yuma and now enjoy playing every day on Vancouver Island. Originally from NS where my Dad was a commercial fisherman for sixty years on the Bay of Fundy. Your song Farewell to the Good Old Fishing Days brings back memories.
