I am 62 and I fully agree about the rapid increase in aging at 60. It is quite shocking, really. I have always worked physically challenging jobs and now the wear and tear on my body, especially my feet, hands and lower back are taking their toll. I have been considering powerlifting to maintain bone mass and muscle. You have inspired me to start doing some push-ups and taking the stairs during my workday as a start. Have a wonderful day!

I'm 57 and have been exercising regularly for the past 25 years. Cardio and lifting weights more regularly. Lately focusing plant-based, whole food eating. Also, more zone 2, zone 5 focusing. V02 max is 50+, great for my age.I look and feel 20+ years younger by keeping active, trying to eat smarter. Interesting study on peak aging years, but I think by making healthy choices we can push back those peak aging years.

I'm 58. Going carnivore (six months) has been a game changer for me. My job is pretty physical, I feel like I've knocked off ten yrs already.

I´m 3 months away from turning 60. Am currently training to break age group running world records and have a very extensive weight and strength training program under way which is helping enormously. Am running faster now over shorter distances than at any stage in my life. Age is no barrier.

Women tend to age a lot physically between ages 45 to 55. I don't know why, but that is my experience.

Peri-menopause and Menopause. Estrogen, testosterone and progesterone tend to wane and changes occur with our skin, muscles, bones and brain.

All these studies are best taken with a pinch of salt. Don`t believe uncritically what you hear just because it comes from a place like Harvard.
