I've read somewhere that Marcin Przybyłowicz will make music for AoE IV. Well, there's no Marcin's work here sadly, but there is Mikolai's work, who also worked on Witcher 3's music, so it's nice after all :)
Yeah, if you noticed, AoE 4 soundtracks definitely sound nice and all, but all of these soundtracks don't have reference to the main AoE theme (the chorus), unlike aoe 2 and aoe 3 had, so they kinda sound like generic medieval theme, not really familiar to the AoE vibe
@@TheCatVtuber the AOE vibe sux tho. only the theme nodes are well done. in game music in aoe2 - 3 was totally unfit the game play. Aoe4 just done it perfectly since they got different sound track for each civ. The best part is the loading screen. A chill main with different civ specific topping. damn just too good
40:17 Yesterday I played for the first time with the Russians, and that music sounded to me when I was fighting, and I found it very epic how the music was mixed with the war
@@radziwill7193 that’s my first thought as well. Used to play both company of heroes ranked, all I can see is the map loading screen of company of heroes after hearing that part.
@@radziwill7193 company of heroes not that good because German and Russia or us and obercommando is a same music ..but aoe all civ have different unic music
Idk why, but it seems to me that these themes are representing eight playable civilisations: 3:29 the Chinese 10:08 the French 18:51 the Mongols 26:49 the Rus 43:31 the English 51:39 the Delhi Sultanate 58:38 the Holy Roman Empire 1:05:23 the Abbasids
it's especially amazing because they nailed down mongol cultural music so well. With exception to only a few instruments, it feels remarkably authentic.
This is a clever idea, such uploads tend to get a lot of views. I have 2 soundtracks that I've been listening to so many times: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Heroes of Might & Magic V - these soundtracks will be listened to for many years to come, I'm sure of it. Let's hope AoE4 soundtrack is good enough to join video games musical classics.
I assume he is allowed to publish this, but clever.. I don’t think people should be able to benefit from the work of others; unless they benefit as well of course
The mongols one is one of my favorite, cuz it somewhat reminds me of a mix between Norse and Mongolian haha. If only they had Einar Selvik in here..maybe if we someday get a viking civ, that would be awesome. Just hire Einar Selvik to do the soundtracks for them. He's a legend.
AoE 4 soundtracks definately sound nice and all, but all of these soundtracks don't have reference to the main AoE theme (the chorus), unlike aoe 2 and aoe 3 had, so they kinda sound like generic medieval theme, not really familiar to the AoE vibe :P
@@DeyRapingEveryone I think it is very unlikely that Microsoft gives a pro player the permission to upload the soundtrack instead of doing it themselves. Also the OST won't be available on RU-vid Music if Viper uploads it like that, I hope there will be an official upload.
I had this feeling, too. Turns out, the OST is actually from the same sound design studio (Dynamedion). Their composers work for Total War, Ubisoft, CDProjectRed and many other great names. They seem to be a talented lot.
Age of Empires 4 is the best in the series by far and i would argue, the best historic RTS and RTS game ever, it is perfect and well deserving of it's awards despite being new. for me the Mongol Campaign and the 1066 campaign are standouts for me, I live in the county of Sussex in West Sussex not to far from 1066 country in East Sussex,
agreed! Other than Red Alert series and Warcraft 3, Age oF Empire series (epsecially 2 and 4) is the best RTS game ever played :) nice graphic, history/story and gameplay ..of course the soundtrack
Just like how Chess was used by Kingdoms in history to compete by avoiding war, current and future generation may(or will) use Age of Empires to conduct wars!
God the Abbasid fight theme is excellent. The strings and the drums really make you feel badass when running through an enemy base with a maxed out cavalry army
I wish somewhere in the main theme was this classic melody we all know. It's similar but not quite. I loved the style and instruments but would bring it up, maybe at the end or the beginning
I think these ones fit AoE 4 better than a universal soundtrack like AoE 2's - each civ feels a lot more distinct and there aren't as many, so it makes more sense that they'd get their own music. I like both in their respective games though.
what if the computer keeps game from running at ist best and crashing. this game crases every 2 nd 4 th min. if newer patches fixes this. only way to get a walktrough and skip playing this game. crash crash crashing all day even with latest patch. music are nice in rig hd800 headphones
I can note some influences from Bear McCreary's Battlestar galactica OST. Specially recognizible in 51:39 "Through forest and fields". I love this OST. Thanks TheViper!
Honestly I feel like the only battle theme they got right was the Mongols. As shitty of a game as it was I think they could learn a lesson or two from the soundtrack of Ancestor's Legacy.
Are you allowed to share this? I played extra for the Deluxe Edition to get the soundtrack... I know there are a lot of chanels on Yt that only upload soundtracks, but that doesn't make it right.
This is honestly so disappointing compared to the rest of the franchise, lacks the impact and memorability of previous tracks. Feels extremely background like. No discredit to the composer, I feel its moreso the direction the composer was given by the studio.
Una lástima que no tenga ni buena visión ni buena música. Es un juego de estrategia que intenta ser superior a su segunda versión y al parecer siguen sin lograrlo...
god, guys like you are the reason why RTS die a slow death. noone is taking your beloved 20 yr old game away. But please don't spoil the fun for others.
You obviously make sponsored content for Age 4. I wonder what would be your honest opinion. Especially with the performance and idiotic hotkey restrictions and with all UI buttons looking pretty much the same.
The only issue i have so far is the way certain animations look (mangonels) And some gamedesign decisions Like tracking arrows And some small issues with the way the civs are designed Fe i feel like all civs should have reinforced palisades I feel like siege should unpack slower I feel like there should be less mathematical rock paper scissor balancing Water combat looks boring And not immersive And some other minor stuff But all together the game feels extremely worrisome to me I love the music actually But the game as a whole just gives me an uneasy feeling Of worry and uncertainty
None of my AoE4 content is sponsored. I’ve shared plenty of criticism where it’s due as well, and have no reason not to be honest. Hotkey restrictions and UI has gotten a share of that.
@@TheViperAOE Okay I believe you. The reason I thought that it is sponsored, is because you are obviously allowed to put the soundtrack up. Thanks for clarifying though. I guess I did not see the content where you are critical then.
