I also main Delhi, but you're not quite right about the research thingy. It's so long actually that you might have more upgrade in the end, but you don't have those that count when you need them. When you age up and your opponent, with, let's say, a deathball of longbow, upgrade just those very fast you're stuck with a steep military disadvantage for quite some time. It's a succession of timing where you're in the shit, then timing where you're not too bad, then once again in the shit ... Imperial research time are so crazy that you'll mostly get stomped by any player that reach imp in a similar time as you, since they'll hit very powerfull upgrade for the troop they actually use ~10 min before you. Before imp, those timing where you're "under" are manageable with wall. When the bombard roll out, wall are obsolete, so you have absolutely no way to slow down the game until your upgrades hit.

Did you see all those Delhi keeps? So yes. They were all 600 stone instead of 800, due to the compound of the defender.

Rus and HRE are both good at it. Rus because they have mounted monks and HRE with their prelates. Delhi does well because their Age 2 LM lowers cost of monks and their infantry can wall.

Correct, but I think internally it's just a flat bonus, not a multiplier. At least that's how it works with some of the damage calculations.

It's not multiplicative. Also the vils need to walk. So it's just over 10% for the 1st upgrade (which you should get before imp for sure) and the 2nd is a bit less than 10%.

The upgrade percentages are always added to the other upgrade percentages then calculated against the base rate. For instance If one upgrade is 15 percent on top of 100 then you get 115. Say that’s gold per minute. Then if something else buffs that by another 15% then that’s 30% so 130 gold per minute. Not 115 increased by 115%. So not 132.25. Doesn’t compound.

It's a very polarising civ. Very hard to master to master but very strong when used right. Also, bugs.

No they're not, not yet. They are A tier at best as they still suffer from several bugs (e.g. Hisar Academy and Tower of Defeat) and Imp techs still take too long to research even with several Scholars. If you contest Sacred sites early that slows them down considerably. They also tend to play more passively in early game compared to other civs (Except in hybrid maps where they can attack with their Fishing boats, this makes them S tier on hybrid maps) so they're vulnerable to expansion/map agency tactics. Mongols on the other hand, are still op.

Delhi's still got bugs, but animation cancelling ain't one of them.
