Hard to believe Viper, the "faux-pro player", didn't know this simple stuff. Maybe if he had played the William Wallace campaign before his career, then he'd clearly be at the top right now.
now use your newly discovered skills to get out of loser's bracket and win the tournament... remember, you need to advance to castle age to build a castle.
the awkward moment when in reality the Scots actually got slaughtered at the battle of Falkirk, their heavy cavalry fled the field and William Wallace resigned as Guardian of Scotland immediately after, his reputation in tatters... still pedantry aside I can't wait for the other campaigns, not only is there that wonderful nostalgia factor rediscovering the campaigns from your childhood, but it's always a pleasure watching someone as good as The Viper play the game!
Fun fact: You can build paladins in this scenario. I built nothing but paladins and siege before building a castle for the reinforcements to push me over the population limit then rolled over the English. Of course, this was in my childhood when I was intimidated by even a semi-entrenched AI base. Apparently you can also opt for a Wonder victory.
I love how it is serious series as well as a joke one. The idea of "we can also forward castle here" made me laugh so hard. There aren't many players who gone through this campaign and thought about making forward castle
Viper, can i make a suggestion? If you lose a scenario (haha i know right?) don't name the first video attempt 1. If you're going to lose i want it to come as a surprise
Such a champion at this game! I struggled the first time I played these missions, you're a natural at this game. Admittedly you seem older than about 6 which is how old I think I was when I first played this game.
I still remember how I lost this one many times when I was a kid the enemy will take the gold outside etc I remember I was beggining a twon drop on the gold over there at the beginning didn't know seige is use for breaking gate so never use them tried to attack the gate with my units and william wallence but failed, all dead
You can win the final mission easily even on the hardest AI if you take a bunch of villagers to the island with all the gold. Mine the gold and build the wonder. The enemy will be distracted with your main town and the wonder will go up without them batting an eye. Done!
I think when you try to direct many battering rams when they start off close together, they get in each other's way and that causes the pathing problem.
if it wasn't for William Wallace and his broken squad, that level would actually be kinda legit. The britons, while not particularly strong, will continuously produce units and even attack you with battering rams. They even get upgrades like fortified walls, guard tower and murder holes if you are too slow ^^
I remember playing this level when i was young got william wallace and used the transport ships to do a sneak attack from the right side.... Who needs to lay siege to walls when they have no sea walls?
My apologies, melady. Please understand that I refer to boissssz as all my viewers, so therefore do not feel left out. If this is a big concern of yours, I shall do my best to improve at this area in the future. Best Regards, TheViper
Would you consider starting with the Genghis Khan campaign instead? In case you're not planning on doing all the campaigns, I'd like to see you do that one :)
Unfortunately for those looking to see him play the new campaigns, he appears to be going in order, so it will be a few weeks until the fe/aoak/aorr campaigns
