The new water efects for the steam boats look gorgeous, but im kind of worried that this civ is going to be kind of op. Time will tell.

great idea to have " unlockable civilizations" since this is a former revolution maybe next time we will see civilizations like Mexico and Brazil. ( i personally would love if they add Mexico as a Civilization)

When the United States entered the game I knew that Mexico eventually would come too. It's great to have both in the game.

This is such a good game. Best RTS game in the world if you ask me. The maps are awesome, and you can play the best ones on a large version unlike the original AOE3. If you decide you have enough CIVS and don't want to buy new ones like me, you can still play against the new civs in PvP, and fight on the new maps. Steam is very generous in this way, and keeps all the players in the game. There are so many unit types I couldn't even begin counting how many there are.

I may get Age of Empires 3 for the first time this weekend. I've been playing Age of Empires HD plus most of the expansions for a long time now, I play it more than any other game lately. This makes me want to change that.

It would be nice if even the existing factions like the Germans or French could become a tad bit more unique in my eyes

I wish they add a series of historical battles for America civil war in the next update. Cotton empire vs Factory empire .

I would love for them to give Age of Mythology the same treatment. Yes, I know it already got a remaster but that was a long time ago and it's still a very outdated game by today's AoE standards. If they do make a remake of AoM then I would love for the god abilities to be reusable with a cooldown instead of one-time use, and to have the option to disable wonders. Do that, and you already got an amazing game.

the American civilization wasn't available as a selectable in the Random map in the original. it was simply a modified combination of units, buildings and technology from European civilizations present only in the campaign

2:42 This reflects American actual cavalry doctrine throughout horse era. IRL they're 'mounted infantry' based around British Light Dragoons which British Empire preferred to use as the only cavalry choice in North America. American horsebreeders didn't actually capable of breeding Heavy Warhorses for Fancy European Cuireassiers in their first 60 years and thus they entered war against Mexico facing myriads of Mexican Napoleonic Fancy Cavalry corps including Lancers and Cuirassiers!!! the only advantages US Army Cavalry had at that time were 'hitech weapons' , Colt Revolvers.

My game was defective, when downloading the new DLC the AI stopped working, I can't play the skirmisher mode because only the nation controlled by the player works.
