Age Of Empires: Relaxing and Beautiful Music

I made a mix of relaxing and beautiful tracks from the games:
- Age of Empires
- Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome
- Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings
- Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors
- Age of Mythology
- Age of Mythology: The Titans
I wanted to include Age of empires 3 as well but noticed that the music didn't fit to the other games. So I decided to not include it's soundtrack.
Some pictures are not in HD. The main reason is the age of the games (especially Age of Empires 1 and it's expansion The Rise of Rome). Many pictures (mostly art) are used from the HD version of Age of empires 2 and the extended version of Age of Mythology.
The songs belong to Ensemble studios, the pictures to their rightful owner.

The original AOE soundtrack brings me right back to the elementary school summers spent at my best friend's house, marathon gaming over his LAN network. Those memories help to balance out the misfortune he has faced in recent years. What an emotional experience to listen through this all.

I got so mad when the Computer was beating me i'd Cheat and spawn a bunch of Blue Cars, sent 'em right over to those Jerk NPC's. Needless to say, I always won.

0:01 Rise of Rome Music just woooooooowwwww takes you to the other world.. the world of empires.. with beautiful mountains, seas, lakes, forest and vast area still unexplored. I love age of empires and specially their music.

I remember how I was disappointed to realize that playing PvP was basically about having fast hands and pressing shortcuts to end things as fast as possible. I mean, the real fun in the game for me was in the slow progress, expanding my kingdom, and not in sending hordes of Pikeman as soon as possible.

Being quick definitively is important. But doesn't strategy also depend on which Civ you pick, and one can also play defensively with walls etc?

Gamelan might be one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a game. To me, it so thoroughly encapsulates the themes of Age of Empires - human ingenuity, wonder at the world they've found themselves in, and looking towards the future. Sure, actually playing the game is about war and conquest - but underlying it all, I think, is a celebration of where we came from. Thanks for this compilation. I listen to it often.

I've been looking for compilations that would work great as background music for an Outward playthrough series that has no music (for fear of copyright issues) and this one probably works the best, plus I miss this music so that's a plus~ It's not too loud and not too quiet.

Hey, I know. First i wanted to include them too. But they are symphonic composed which makes them hard to fit in the more electronic songs from the other AOE's. But in the future it is possible that i make a mix of AOE 3. Kind regards,

I don't know if you want to change the description, but " Rise of Rome music 2" is called Poyester Jammy and Rise of Rome music 6 is called Medieval Melody :)

Have you got the newer disc versions? In AoE 1 and Rise of Rome the soundtrack is replaced by the MIDI version and AoE 2 lacks its OST entirely.

El tema que aparece en el minuto 19 ¿en qué version de age of empires está?. Tengo el age 1 y el rise of rome y no me aparece por ningún lado ese tema que me gusta mucho.
