This actually all sounds really good. Looking forwards to thralls being a bit more... alive. Special companion thralls also sound good. Cautiously optimistic about the new Age.
Really looking forward to the new Chapter. Will be amazing to have thralls adding some livingnessess to the Exiled Lands. Love the concept. Thank you for highlighting.

Ever since Once Human released I have not played Conan at all, logged in to your server last night, noticed my base was still there but none of my combat thralls. (crafting thralls were still there) After this update I will def. be playing Conan again. I really like the changes.
@@LeeAndrewVideos I will look into it - sounds like a recent update may have stopped building decay working properly. Glad your stuff is still there though!
Its Freya & that guy from the quest with the tentacle eldrich monster. I wanted Red Sonya / Red Sonja in the age of heroes. Both as a thrall & a bossfight. Same for Conan when are we gonna fight Conan? Who cares if we kill him, they can pull out a bs excuse on why he is still alive like Ramza of Shem you kill her when she is wearing the mask but she is alive close to the bar.
@@Anabriella They can use Red Sonya then & make her look exactly like Red Sonja & go around copy-write laws. Red Sonya is the original creation of Robert E Howard. Red SonJa with the J is Marvel's.
I needs more things to do with gold & silver. Maybe an online thrall market where you can sell your thralls you dont want anymore with the random perks they rolled. For example selling Dalinsia Snowhunter thralls there with the Godly Vigor perk or Iron Physique or other desirable ones. & a market to buy & sell weapons for gold/silver would be nice too.
story companions sound fun, but I'm skeptical. we haven't done much story in a long time. I'd say I wish their "quests" will be more than just one offs and maybe could continue at some point, but I won't get my hopes up. I should probably also wait to see if they're any fun before I wish for more. looking forward to thrall changes and more argossean pieces, since I still have one or two huge empty argossean bases in my single player save that I lost interest in. I've been waiting to dress my workers since I started and it'd be great to have the option without mods.
Late to the party but I haven't played Conan in a while now (1500 hours played). I appreciate the serious effort to make the Exiled Lands feel more alive, allowing players to create their own Sepermeru/Muriela's Hope communities. However, I'm a fan of the 1982 Conan film and the original Howard stories. The biggest problem - in my opinion - is the lack of narrative. A reason behind the grind for materials or the monotonous dungeon farming. I don't want to play a pretty mine-craft. Fingers crossed that these new "trapped" NPCs will lead to more variety in quests and "NPC recruitment". I'm not a huge fan of the Conan store but I think they've introduced items that make me want to learn more about the story behind the items. Why did the devs introduce Jousting armor, an item nearly two thousand years separated from the BC vibe of Conan, into the game? Is there a new plot point coming in the future? If the people behind Conan want me back, the very first thing they need to do is make any new updates to the game Completely transparent and open to feed back. Don't quietly slip a combat change into an update because "it's no big deal". And stop dropping these updates on the edge of company vacations, leaving us without support for weeks. 1) Transparency 2) Support 3) More RPG elements *Old Man Soap Box Rant Over* I'm a HUGE fan of Anabriella and feel lucky to have found her content and appreciate her opinions and experience! Go Team Ana and her court of merriment, the Fireflies!
In theory, I love this new development with the Thralls. Especially, since I use Conan Exiles to RP. However, I'm concerned about the moving thralls contributing to lag on multiplayer servers, such as the type I join. In the servers I join they try to limit laggy items by limiting the user bases ability to craft it for themselves, for instance, crafting benches, and making a community spot for crafting benches. Which is a shame because this is a step to create more immersion which is great for a RPer like me, but if it spikes lag I'll never/rarely see it [I dont play single-player Conan].
@@lorderevus-cz6rd Welcome! I switched to PC for better performance and to get access to more survival games a couple of years ago, but I believe you can still add an ssd to ps4? That should make a good difference. Might be worth looking into!
i'm surprised to see that once again the devs are effectively implementing everything i asked for during the past surveys! It certainly makes one feel listened to, at the very least. i love how they seem to be focusing so deeply on immersion
These 'living' NPC's and RP focused updates would be great additions to a major content feature. But on their own, they fall far short. I'm not enticed or motivated to come back to the game nor support the game in any way based on these features. I try and check back in around major updates to see what's new because I’ve historically enjoyed this title. But, this is not a major feature. It's fresh paint on an existing feature. Arguably, that's the only thing Funcom has managed to do since the first major drop in Age of Sorcery. Nothing new, just more enticing paint and RP. I think these would all be lovely and valuable additions, if they were attached to say: NPC resource generation systems, new maps, major additions to existing maps, new major world bosses and dungeons. You know, actual new content. This game is a 'survival crafter' and since transitioning to the 'Age' of whatever updates, they have added zero to the survival aspect of the game, they've added very little new areas to explore or build. And aside from a half-descent update to the purge mechanic, they've added almost no practical additions to the building system. RP and cosmetics galore, but noting which expands nor builds upon the core game loops which kept most of us playing.
As a long-term player whose on Xbox1 still I have grave concerns about the lag "living settlements" will cause. I already crash when rendering Al-miraja...
All this time and still they haven’t released any new map. I stopped playing a long time ago because it’s always Siptah and Exiles. Playing those maps just gets old. I’d come back if they released maps consistently
@@MuffHam Nobody said to jump into PvP I also burnt out through the content rather quickly so I know how thats like. I heard PvP in Conan is super unbalanced because there is many weapon types that don't even have a complete moveset or are just way better than the rest: spears, 1 handed normal swords, 1 handed maces + shields, etc dominate. Some weapons are just too slow for PvP, Katanas have been nerfed a lot, the heavy attacks start up so slow. Honestly the best weapons imo are one-handed swords & maces they work everywhere. Anyway enjoy Elden Ring or whatever else you are playing. Conan updates have always been this slow.
@@Anabriella Sister, dont worry about it lol I'm not an snowflake. In fact I find it more offensive you didnt let the rudeness go through but its your channel.
This wont bring players back. In fact many more have threatend to quit when bench thralls start counting toward your max on the public servers. What's you clans thrall count? How many benches do you have up? ToC says no villages and then hands people thralls to RP a village, ya that's funcom. Tell me it's against the rules to do something then hand me the tools to do it. Reading down through here I see were the funcom fanbois hang out.
@@Anabriella The person has a valid point. Not even mentioning the last update when they brought the laggy castle forced on servers. Build that same castle on a pvp server and you will get banned for server performance. Aka to many building pieces and having a courtyard around your castle. All not allowed by their own rules.
