Only Ra's priests can empower, but Pharoes can empower better. Other Egyptian priests can't. Only one unit can empower one building\foundation at a time. Don't keep the Pharoe idle.

Empowering an economic building adds a certain % of the resource to the total droped. If one villager is carrying 10 gold and drops it in a building empowered by a Pharaoh it adds +20% more (Isis/Set), +25% (Ra Pharaoh) or +10% (Ra priest). Empowering town centers does not make you age up faster or produce villagers faster, but it helps mercenary, TC attack, priest and upgrades research time. The best thing about Pharaohs is empowering migdol strongholds or settlements to build or repair them waaay faster.

This was the best. Beautiful scenery, hilarious reactions to the enemy army size, the Guardian kicking ass, Viper getting totally trolled at the end, and even the green village survived to take part in the final battle.

Btw, War Barge is a war ship. It is the Seige Ship available to the Egyptians. Each civ gets different versions of 3 types of war ships - Arrow Ship - Secure Water early on, kill fishing ships and transports and raid coasts. Counters Ramming Ships. Ramming Ship - Melee attack, used to counter naval myth units and Seige Ships. Seige Ship - Crush attack. Used to bombard enemy coasts from long range and counter Arrow Ships.

AoM glitches are the funniest so far, plus biper getting so surprised, a little gold mine i've found in here hahahaha

You are known in AOE 2 campaigns for letting your hero dies, you will be known in AOM campaigns for the amount of glitch you have per mission. ^^

The spin is the Avenger's special attack which does damage to everyone around him instead of only against one target. Other types of special attacks are the mummy's one shot ability (only against human units) which turns the human unit into a minion. Or the Anubite special attack which is a jump attack with a longer range than amanra's

You made the same silly mistake as me in that scen: not leave some miners north! (no need of res to build mining camp and no need to send all south to trigger the mission).

Hi Viper, really loving your AoM series. I didn't think I would like it as much as AoE2 because I've never played the AoM campaigns, but you've managed to keep it very entertaining. Prostagma. Regarding taking time to read upgrades etc, we don't mind. Actually, some of us who are new to this game like you would prefer you do that. Also, is there not an option in this game where one can see enemy score and which age (heroic age or myth age etc) they are in like AoE2?

When you empower a building the villagers dont work faster, but when they drop the resource they drop extra resources.

Priests are awful in combat unless against myth units, then they are a tiny bit better than a slinger. Scarabs are awful in anything besides sieging buildings. Sphinxes and Elephants are amazing at everything. Sphinxes are a big part of Egyptian myth unit power, because they are fast, deal a lot of damage, and have an AOE attack. Scarabs are slow, expensive, and trash against most enemies. They just look cool.

10:45 im late to the party but i just wanted to say this: you dont have to apologize for reading what the game units /improvements do because of 2 reasons: 1. It means you actually care about the game and want to improve your gameplay for future missions; plus makes you understand what units you should use against enemy units 2. I played countless hours of this game back in my childhood (as an adult as well) and defeated the campaign numerous times so watching someone who's just discovering the game feels both fresh and nostalgic Thank you for providing us amazing content to watch; some youtubers probably wouldn't have gone through the trouble of trying to learn the game

The last bug was unfortunate scheit! In fact they just need to be north with the guardian awaken (they cant win).

Avengers look scary for good reason: most strong unit: with the spining blades they can kill easily entire human armies. Priests and chariot archers was the good choice here in my opinion.

Oh, yea. And Egyptians have an awful early game military until they get Migdols and a lot of gold income. Elephants, Chariots and Camels are amazing, powerful units. Their late game myth units are very strong, too. Avengers are incredibly powerful versus infantry core armies because of AOE spins, a lot of health and fast attacks. Theyre the Chimera of Egypt. Mummies are very strong ranged attackers with OHKO special attacks that turn enemy soldiers into weak minions who soak damage. Its basically a conversion from a Monk. Phoenixes are slow AOE air units who can be bought back for cheap after they die by an egg they leave behind. Flying units are rare and valuable. Petsuchos are very very strong for a Heroic myth units, with powerful long ranged attacks that outrange probably every unit in the game excluding catapults. Theyre so good for raiding because just three or four in a Roc can clean out villagers in seconds.

Looking at AoE3, AoE:DE, and AoM it always seems like the games are much less easy to read then AoE2. Perhaps it's actually that the graphics in AoE2 are bad, I don't know, but it's very easy to see what's going on at all times (except for walls on hills...).

when a pharaoh or RA priest is empowering a building. Resources dropped off will increase by about 15% I think it is. it DOES NOT make villagers work faster. Just adds on an extra 15% percent gold once it gets dropped off. this also works with trade caravans.

The Guardian is A LOT more fun in the Atlantean campaigns 'cerberus' level.

The god powers to speed the collect of ressource (isis give the same for gold) is way more strong when you get all the upgrades. I always use it at last age in random map to have the maximum boost possible and even by sending more villagers on that task.

Watching this series got me to replay the campaign again. I forgot how many missions there were just in this particular campaign

I'm so proud of you Viper! :/ your pop could have increased with fortified town centres and having maxed out vils means you can loop elephants from probably 3 midgols. - which nothing the campaign has can stop. Also next mission is tug of war!!!!!! WOOH!!! Must show all attempts :P

You can use amanra in chase siturations. If you target the foremost unit she will leap ahead, miss the first one but the damage to the one behind that one. She can do unreal damage the myth units that way.

Its strange how many bugs you find :D I played AoM like 80 hours last year and didnt find a single one. ^^

The next mission is the easiest among the the whole game. The next next mission also very easy if you know how to cheese it, if not, that is a very difficult mission.

Massing scarabs, priests and chariot is actually a super strong tactic in multiplayer, there is no hard counter to that composition aside from loki huskarl+hersir. The composition requires body blocking with the scarabs and hit run micro with the chariots. Priests are fodder and anti myth that can be spammed once you get trade up.

The workers I start with in this mission are bugged and don't gather resources. _(they act like they do and, for example, gold mines number gets lower - but they gather 0)_ I have to delete ~15 workers at start of when I get control of the town. It's so annoying..

On this mission, I take Ptah and I send villagers and heroes in the last village. There I destroy the army of Kemsyt and I take my time to give back the sword.

Since you had access to both Sphinx is probably a better option than scarabs. Sphinxes are much better vs units than scarabs and both are great vs buildings.
