To be fair, its kinda how it works. There no reason to expend your resources attacking both at the same time and even less reason to fight if the other two are fighting themselves. It sucks for observation but there is a logic to it.

It's calming and makes it satisfying to watch the battle rage on until red wins.

it was conquest mode. you start with 15000 of each resource, and build up time is very short

would have been broken as greeks because earthquake takes the whole map.
