Age of Sigmar Lore: Fyreslayers 

As a fantasy Warhammer fan and a huge Dwarf fan, I was absolutely crushed when, upon returning my interest to tabletop, to learn that the Dwarfs no longer existed so to speak. I've spent several months feeling very uneasy and disappointed, without any real grasp of the lore behind the new Duardin factions or what makes them unique or cool. I just saw what seemed like GW trying to play to fan favorite niches within Dwarf culture and I felt a large void regarding diversity among unit types, which was one of the greatest things about the Dwarf race. After watching your video though, I now have a legitimate interest in learning more about the other Duardin factions and giving Age of Sigmar and honest go. Thank you so much for your hard work in making these videos and hope you are enjoying the holiday season brother!

Keep in mind, Vulkatrix was scared away by Gotrex. A dwarf from the Old World. A proper Dawi, not some not some misguided slayer who has a love affair with flames.

I've listened to a lot of different people doing lore videos and by far yours has been the best. I appreciate you are telling me a story and a direction of where you are taking me. I appreciate you actually discuss the lore as opposed to just rattling off information that they are clearly reading in a mono toned voice that puts me to sleep. Keep it up. I'd love to hear you tell actually stories as well and discussing the implications of those events.

Hey Doug, not sure if you're gonna see this comment, (the video being a couple years old) but I just realized sometbing from what you said about the 2 dwarf gods: their personalities are based on the 2 basic traits that all of us, Warhammer players, share in varying degrees: one wants to fight all the time, the other one wants to build. Just like players who want to focus on the hobby aspect of building, priming,painting,basing models, etc, as well as others who want to fight! I thought it was cool and wanted to share, good morning from Sweden!

sometimes i can appreciate just the facts. because sometimes one narrative implication can be taken another way. and i think part of it is to kind of get the various permutations and implications lay. not that narritive is bad, but there is also a plus to letting them speak for themselves. i also like your method as well, just a point of different methodologies. highlighting the core tensions is also very enjoyable

I've been into 40k lore for years now, I'm subbed to all the main channels, 40k theories, Arch, tactica imperialis and one mind syndicate but I've never really been into the fantasy element, until now. I really enjoy your approach to the lore, pointing out the facts and then adding your own take on why they are of interest or what sets them apart, very refreshing and you've definitely got a new sub here. I discovered the channel 2 days ago now and watched most of your vids already. Also have you ever thought of doing asmr vids? Your voice is super relaxing, might be worth a look. :) Seriously though keep it up, I really enjoy what you're doing.

Thank you very much for making these lore videos. I've always been a 40k man, and will continue to be. But I've recently re-fallen in love with some of the Warhammer fantasy models perticularly slayers and lizardmen. Your videos have helped me get a better understanding of the new aos fluff which I could never really grasp. 9/10 fantasy and 40k lore videos on RU-vid are straight up ripped from Lexicanum or wikis which is a shame, thank you for not doing that. Now I'm on the verge of starting either Fyreslayers or Seraphon. However, since the reason I love Seraphon is from their Aztec inspiration, but it seems like this has been forgotten in the newer fluff, so I'm probably going to go with slayers. Love your channel man, I've been looking for good age of sigmar lore and haven't found any untill you. I like the way to explain and kinda dumb things down so pretty much anyone can follow along. Also would you be willing to look into hordes war machine? Love your vids and I can't wait to see what you make next.

Really nice, good info on fyreslayers!! Interesting part about the eventual depletion of ur gold and what that means. Tell me one thing though. What is the deal with fyreslayer obsession with Keys?? Like vulkite berserker mini's come with a throwing axe and a key to glue on the side of the minis... also the runesmiter wields an optional key as a weapon.

Could you do a lore video on Kharadron Overlords, those steampunk airship using dwarves? They sound rather interesting. Also, the Collegiate Arcana, if possible.

I really enjoy these. As you said, anybody can recite a lore book, but it's far more interesting to know why they are like they are and how they fit into the universe and the 'feel' of them, for want of a better term.

Like the video, but I’d consider (if possible) to slim down the introductary part where you explain the format. People who have seen your previous videos surely already know this and if a new viewer need a more extensive explanation you could always refer to your previous work.
