man....Wehenever i hear this i remember the moment i bought my First Good expensive pc just to play this Game.. i heard the Login screen music fully when i first opened on my new PC.. then Logged in... Makes me Cry i still remember the Moment... Name - Elph Guild - UnitedXia Europe Server..
Exactly first time I logged in had the same feeling that was in 2013 haven't played since because of the p2w system was a wanderer roaming around learning jianghu skill because I couldn't decide which school to join went by the name xiao long bo and was a member of sheng xiao until they got merged into phoenix guild after that everyone went their separate ways so I stopped playing. this game has a special place in my heart. If only they had a better cash shop system and VIP was a pain.
+Yoji Doki Doki me too :( but the p2w is just 2 much :/ im really strong but i cant spend another $4k on a videogame... i cant even believe i did xD.........i miss wushu tho....but snail killed it
Oh god it's been years since I heard this song ... and just hearing it makes me so emotional. I loved this game so much, went through so much on it, but it was ruined... I miss the game, not the people or what it became. #RedPheonixForLife
+Rokatsu Ryuzaki i feel the god same way...it hurts me so much that this game is unplayable because of P2W :( #WhiteTiguerForLife wudang is love, wudang is life....
believe me, this game is irreplaceable for a lot of people, even if Snail is a horrible company. There's so much soul put into the game, it's unforgettable for those who played it 8yrs ago when it first came out in around 2012. Luckily, i played in the Taiwan server which is still being maintained pretty well and updates haven't been stopped. Merged a few times, so there's still quite a lot of people when the overseas people wake up. Sucks being on the other side of the globe and can't participate in book stealing, but it's fine. It's 2020 and so many of my friends came back because of the covid situation. if feels like the old days and happy reunion.
to think i'll only hear this on youtube bc i became too poor to afford a decent internet and a computer capable of running this game ever again. this makes me so sad that i couldn't hold the tears rn. this game meant so much to me and it was probably the reason i didn't give up back then. thanks to this game i became a respected martial artist among my masters and created my own martial art in which i bring the philosophy passed down to me with countless hours exploring and learning how to improve myself while playing. it's really weird how a game can teach you how to live your life in a better way without you noticing at that time... i lost my brother and i was losing myself to depression and noone in my family really cared about it even though i was just an 11 years old kid... i hope someday i can get back to it, i'd be the happiest person ever if my account would still exist hahaha i'm not in my greatest mental shape atm due to losing my job for the pandemic and my father getting back on drinking nonstop, but compared to how i was back then, i can really say it made a huge difference!
Come join us at TW server. We have english community players in that chinese server. This game is still interesting to be played. They made so many reworks, so it is friendly for newcomers to grow stronger faster.
wait, i thought this game is already dead and all we can do is just waiting for AoW 2 to be released hopefully soon... reworks at TW server? seems interesting
... i miss too much this game but it went to the trash with the execissive p2w , now u need vip just to gather ... it was in 2k17 now in 2k18 u m8 need vip just to log lol .... ull be reminded as an awesome game till inner 4 age... bbye age of wushu...
Bots are one of the factors, but not the most important; they are more like annoying nuisance. It's mainly because the game is not receiving enough attention, thus not enough players. The learning curve is also higher than the average MMOs we all are used to, so passive players lose interest quickly when they find out that they have to actually work to complete/make something instead of just pressing a few buttons and stuff magically gets made. Lastly, the entire game is player-driven; the in-game economy are managed by players, guilds, school positions/wars, etc. all managed by us, the players. So in the end, I'd say at least 50% of the blame falls on the players (not necessarily you in particular).
I agree with you on most of your points, the game is not easy for a casual player who just wanders in and wants to be hand held through tutorials which are engrish and have chinese ming-logic (some skills still have 3 different translations). In my mind that is what makes the game awesome. Then we have guys who know the chinese original game and use that info to control markets etc. My second point is snail-usa, their support seems to be 5 guys locked in a shed rotating answers like 'lol' 'I'll pass it on'. It would really take just one person who actually speaks english as their main language to set most of the things right, even the damn ingame 'bulletins' are so engrish it's sometimes hard to understand what it means. The cheapness of maintaining this game just oozes through. I started playing it in beta, back then is was fun pvp, gear didn't matter much neither inners/skills. Now it's jianghu or super inners tier 5 jade all slots, new patch gives us tons of crap to grind and even 'hardcore' people are giving up because frack grinding hard-mode SI 100 times for school inners/7-8 skills. I loved the original idea of wuxia-open pvp game. Now it's become pay to win or grind until you die to stay even moderately competitive and to be honest, it's pvp this game is all about, pve doesn't really even count besides what we now must do, pve all the time to be able to pvp. Anyway, my opinion. The login music absolutely owns and is the reason I even bothered to comment. I hope the game stays alive. If it doesn't we'll still have the login music to remember it by :)
