I have always loved WGI and DCI. This video/podcast has brought a new respect to these arts. The work, creativity and innovation to get to the show is insane. I am also very proud of my son Matt. I played percussion in high school and I get to live my dreams on a high level through him. Great job guys.
This is definitely one of my favorite conversations on your podcast! In depth and inventive in their creative process and how a germ of an idea becomes a full fledged show in the end! Hats 🎩 off to all! 😎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Perfect breakdown of the creative process and passion to make a great program! 🎉 All aspiring designers should watch this video!! Thank you all for what you do❤
Finally getting a chance to listen to this I find it interesting that a program like logic is utilized with idea, generation or even composition but then again, I shouldn’t be surprised, considering how much sequencing and everything has become part of the activity.
Definitely a group with cool beats, but am I the only one that remembers the events that occured last year at finals with this group? Then the subsequent sanctions WGI put on this group. All that stuff originates from leadership. I wish the best for this group, but it seems like their might be a culture problem.
if only you would look into what you’re saying before you type. You’re one of the most toxic opinionated ppl on this side of YT. The ppl who did all that are mostly gone now due to aging out &/or prob nowhere near allowed to be leadership. That’s not new info. The rest of them have been through extensive training on conduct & have been silent through all the “Copycat” & Probation hate comments this season from OTHER ENSEMBLES. They play great & so does everyone else rn. I see no issues, just you wanting to stir the pot
I am going to chime in as an outsider here! I heard all of these rumors and talk of what went down last year. My son is a 1st year current member and we were actually discouraged from having him audition. We have never been people to listen to rumors or hold someone’s past against them. I have to defend this organization (which is something I do not do lightly)! Our experience and specifically my son’s experiences have been nothing but positive! This group has amazing leadership, organization, mentorship, and great heart!!! I was worried that he would join a group and be an outsider……not the case at all! He has formed great friendships and has 100% made to feel apart of the group. This group has helped arrange transportation as he is 3 hours away from their practice location. They have arranged housing while he away for practice. They have mentored him every step of the way and he has become to admire and look up to so many of those veterans. I see a group that focuses on the collective and community. I don’t care what happened last year, this is not the same group and they should not be ostracized for the past. No one is perfect, I am sure the leaders handled business! All I have witnessed is a humble group of talented young people and I am honored that my son is apart of it!
