LOL, started Punk... how about listing to Iggy Pop, or the MC5s, then go to the Sex Pistols, The Clash, and the Ramones, then go to Circle Jerks, Black Flag, and on and on. I saw AO at the Starwood, 45yrs ago, when I was 15, and a Punk Rock Concert, you can throw in the band Fear... So many great Punk Bands...
Strange, one of the best recorded (and with decent sound) punk live performance of all time, and only 55K views in eight years. Something is wrong with RU-vid's algorithms...
The first time I heard Agent Orange was as a young teen in the 80s at my cousin's house. He was a skater all into his Powell Peralta board and he had Agent Orange "This Is The Voice" on cassette and would always play it outside while he thrashed on the sidewalk and stairs. I always have that memory whenever I hear Agent Orange.
@@adammwalch is what it is I was just fortunate enough to have some really Kool friends...Also sublime was playing house parties all over Long Beach...it was a super fun childhood for sure
Brandon Burgess Just auto tone bullshit they call Pop Punk. Good thing that Blink and Greenday are sometimes killing it cause they're not free from all sin per say
samuel alexander I don’t currently keep up with it. I know some people at 4chan.org/mu do. Really, if you’re around any city with a healthy music scene there’s going to be some hard working classic punk bands in the mix. Seek and ye shall find.
When tasked with describing them, I said Agent Orange has the guitar licks of Dick Dale, the speed of the Dead Kennedys, the popiness of the Ramones, and the anger of Nirvana. Love this band.
The original line up...classic! Mike is old now, much faster and still rocking but seems kind of angry about being "ripped off" by many newer bands. As for the other 2 (Steve and Scott I think...) only Steves whereabouts are publicly known. He is still rocking...
+MrJal67 The Bass Player here is James Levesque. He wasn't the original, but did play on the first two albums and the live album. Apparently he and Mike had a falling out in the late 80's." I sparked up a friendship with James around 2010 and really enjoyed hearing all the old stories. Sadly, James passed away in October of 2014.
@@cerebrodelictivocarclubps4309 anything that was ever billed as pop-punk. The most obvious surf-inspired punk band was The Offspring. Their guitars are SO MUCH like Mike's, its ridiculous.
I f-ing love Agent Orange. Wore thise cassettes out. An early song I learned on guitar, Last Goodbye... I was so proud to play that in high school with my first "band"... of course our final song of the set.
I really think I was at this show, or one on the same tour. No joke. It was in the mid-late 80's at Mason Jar in Phoenix, AZ. Same awesome gear that I remember!
just wondering, was it during their hair metal scare years? I saw them unfortunately at that time. Fortunately, Mike came to, and cut his hair and they went back to punk around 92-ish if i recall.
