This show is full of fantastic actors, but man...how good is Brett Dalton? He's played like four different personalities, and now he's playing this feelingless zombie type dude and he just nails it.
@@jspettifer For sure, but after his turn you look back on that stuff like it's incredible acting in a way even though Brett didn't know about it. But they definitely told him to play like a square, because in the script Skye's constantly making fun of him for being a robot.
i still count AoS canon to the mcu…. with the branches and the yggdrasil i just i have a tiny amount of hope i’ll get to see this team in the mcu one day
I think the first 4 seasons are pretty easily canon. It's when you get to season 5 and beyond that it gets tricky. Easiest solution is just to say it's the multiverse.
*Talbot is so well written and interpreted by Adrian Passdar! I always love how we always knew that he was a stand up guy but yet so rigidly the military man that it puts him at odds with SHIELD; and so opened up the possibility of this episode where you come to wonder "Can he be trusted or not?". Creel is also a very well used character!*
The argument between Daisy and Lincoln will always be interesting. They both make great points. Lincoln is obviously on the side that people should have a choice if they want to receive powers and Daisy feels people should receive their "Birth right." I think most people would tend to agree with Lincoln but the one point that Daisy makes that's really significant (which I think it the best reasoning against a cure) is that if the government get their hands on an inhuman cure, there won't be a choice and it will be used as a weapon. It would be the same if other groups get their hands on it (future episodes touch on this). Daisy at this point in the show is presented to be very confident in her ability as an agent and inhuman which also makes her sound very overprotective of her opinions and lineage (Which some people find annoying. I don't, I think it's good development for her especially after everything that's happened in the past). Because of her past where she never had anything or anyone to feel connected to, it makes sense that now, having found a part of herself she can finally identify with (her family and lineage) she would be extremely protective of it especially now that that thing is getting attacked and fought against. And Lincoln is presented to be extremely conflicted in himself and what is right and wrong especially at the fact that he's not trained at all like all the others are. I guess you could say he's in a kind of 'grey area'. The manipulation from Jaiying really messed with his beliefs which is why he's all for an inhuman cure. And as he said, being on the run and the situation he's in is really not helping his behaviour.
Talbot is like if everyone's "racist but not evil" uncle became a world leader... also I super appreciate how Lincoln's addiction struggles impact how he experiences his power. Also I will never see this episode without thinking of Lincoln's capacity to, er, creatively use little electric shocks, so thanks for that brainworm!
Lincoln's discussion with Daisy about controlling their powers sounds very similar to the One Power from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series: the women had to embrace the Power and allow it to flow through them, whereas the male Power was tainted and men had to constantly fight it from overwhelming and destroying them.
The Community tab is still there when you’re looking at a specific channel, but the tab in subscription feeds and the home page is called Posts now. At least that’s the case for the iOS app.
Twice now we've been tricked into thinking Talbot is a bad guy. While S4 took advantage of being moved to a network with less strict censorship then previously, this episode seems to push the boundaries with Daisy and Lincoln's scenes plus Zombie Ward liquefying people to consume.
Do you skip straight to the reaction each week haha because every video I thank Praper for helping me edit my AOS reactions lol They only help with AOS, One Piece and the occasional movie reaction. But the we I'm talking about is my gf and I decided I needed to take the time off.
@@Omn1Media yes I do. Lol. You talk so fast at the beginning it makes my head spin. I don’t know how you do it without messing up. Thanks. I love to learn behind the video things.
Agent O, have you ever seen "Ninja Scroll"? It's the 30th anniversary and is being re-released in limited theaters. It's the 🐐 of anime to myself and many fans. Would love to see you react to it if you haven't zeen it yet ✌😎
