WOW! This was not what I was expecting in the first episode of the new season! NEXT WEEK I'M FINALLY DOING SPIDERMAN: NO WAY HOME! i do not own the rights to Marvel or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D...this is simply a reactionary video
In the MCU timeline, this season is around the introduction of Doctor Strange. With the introduction of magic and supernatural, Ghost Rider is a perfect choice.
I got to say, I loved the intro of Ghost Rider, and Gabriel Luna was fantastic. I am still mad they never gave us the Ghost Rider series with Robbie Reyes.
*_Agree to disagree: No doubt, Ghost Rider was a big part of what enamored fans to this season, but most of the time I hear people discussing this season, they seem a lot more mesmerized with some of the other arcs (Which I shall not discuss as those would be spoilers!) than with the Ghost Rider one... But I will admit that Ghost Rider's is the more badass of those arcs!_*
aos got moved to a later time slot so they could do more for the plots! also remember that tony was talking about a "life model decoy" in avengers when coulson "crashed" stark tower. now you see where the "LDM" turned into.
oh I'm so happy to see you react to this episode (since it's incredible) because this season is a work of art (it may sound exaggerated but the plots in this season are really very interesting and there are also several very good episodes) I don't know if you know, but in the Marvel comics there are several Gosth Riders and in the series they don't use Johnny Blaze, but rather Atro that appears in the comics (which is very interesting and I suspect you're going to love this character). What I like most about this season is that we see more violence (if I'm not mistaken, this was due to the fact that when they aired this season it was at a much later time so they could include more of these elements) One thing that makes me sad in this chapter is how Daisy's mental health is (she is so full of pain and guilt which causes her to neglect herself and think that she is a danger to her team that is why she thinks that The best thing is to be away from them, where you can also notice the hatred and contempt for herself at the moment she tells Gosth Rider "Do it, I deserve it") and one way in which the series demonstrates this is the fractures that Daisy has. One of the reasons for that is that he is using his powers too carelessly but I feel that it is more related to the fact that his powers are connected to his emotions, so at this moment it is understandable that he has more fractures and they do not heal very easily. AIDA's character is very interesting, I'll just tell you that. Another thing I like about this episode is seeing the development that Jemma's character is undergoing. Well, until I finish, I really loved your reaction and I can't wait to see more of your reactions.
Oooohhh Ok! I couldn't even have told you what Nicolas Cage's ghostrider's real name was but that was still very helpful! It feels good being back and watching AOS again! Everyone is pumped and it's making me that more excited about it! I can't wait to see what happens 😁
In the Marvel cinematic Universe AI can't go bad without outside interference from something mystical or cosmic. Ultron was created from influence from the mind Stone. If you go back to the avengers age of Ultron movie the reason he wanted to cover the Earth with metal copies of him wasn't because of Tony Stark's influence it was because of the mind Stone showing him the arrival of Thanos which is why Ultron was saying God was whining up with a stone. It wasn't referring to meteors it was referring to the Infinity Stones.
*_Watching at least the first of the Ghost Rider movies very soon (Like: Right Away) might actually be a very good idea, if but only to give you a better understanding of the background of the character for this show (It is not 100% necessary, but like with everything Marvel: It helps to enhance the experience); I'd even say that if you wanted to record your reaction to it, without editing and releasing it on RU-vid right away, but just so that you saw it for your own erudition and leave the editing and releasing it to a future day, that could also be a good idea...!_* *_As far as the quality of the movie itself: Opinions vary. Some love it. Some don't care for it. But I think even people who did not love it keep a little warm place in their heart for it, if simply because the character of Ghost Rider is such an iconic one that it is difficult to just dismiss it off hand. The movie is more in line with the old Fantastic Four movies, kind of in the old school philosophy of "Superhero movies silly sci-fi/fantasy films not to be taken seriously" and therefore does have a bit of that old style campiness to it, but the dark and gloomy side of the Ghost Rider does give it a bit of weight so that it does not go completely off rail with the campiness._* *_So, up to you to see if you want to watch them or not: As I said, it is not necessary, if you ever watch them later on, you might then have some "Oh I See!" moments remembering what happens with Ghost Rider in this season, but it is not as though you'll be completely lost if you don't watch the first movie or all of them_*
Just when I'm at a real low, virus, itchy rash, bored.... WOOHOO! You finally get to one of my favourite seasons of Agents of SHIELD! (It's first, this one and the last.) 3 seconds in and just happy this exists. :)
Oh no! I hope you feel better soon! I'm glad I could make it a little better at least! 🤗 I'm so pumped for this season! Everyone keeps hyping it up so it's only gotten me more excited about it!
Scrolled through a few comments, and this is two months old...but I didn't see it so I'll mention it here just in case: One of Ghost Riders abilities is the "Penance Stare" which basically turns an evil persons sins back on themselves (there's better explanations). Suffice it to say when someone calls Ghost Rider the "Spirit of Vengeance" it's LITERAL. He actually KNOWS when you're guilty and what you've done. So when Daisy says, "Do it, I deserve it" and the Rider looks at her, pauses, and backs away? It's because he knows she doesn't. That she's punishing herself. So let doesn't kill her. She doesn't deserve it.
I remember reading an AMA on Reddit around when this came out from the lead VFX artist, who said it cost like $50,000 every time they do the Ghost Rider transformation which is wild. Also I'm sure someone has mentioned, but this is a different person than Johnny Blaze who is the Nic Cage version, and has a different origin
Oooohhhh gotcha! I didn't know there are different ghostriders so thank you for sharing! ❤️ I just ordered the ghostrider movie so I will be reacting to that soon! Hopefully it gives me a better understanding when I watch this season. Plus who can resist Nicolas Cage? 🤣
@@tashatipton2141 Yeah, I don't want to give anything away but in comics Ghost Rider is a mantle, sort of like Captain America. I will just say you have some pleasant surprises coming and this season came out around Doctor Strange's first movie so that's the primary tie-in. I just love having somebody reacting to this show though I still think it's the best MCU show
Ok, so I worried that my comment in your AoS finale for season 3 might be a spoiler. I said that season 4 would start out with "head on fire action" 😂 Glad to see that you didn't connect that comment to GR and it remained a surprise. I thought, because you reference Cage's GR that you had seen the movies. But you later cleared that up. Trying to avoid any spoilers, but GR is basically a tool for Mephisto (and Mephisto is the devil in the Marvel universe) GR has made a deal to be a sort of soul wrangler in exchange for something. He makes the evil pay for their sins and collect their souls for Mephisto.. The GR curse can be transferred. So Cage's GR is a guy named Johnny Blaze...but there has also been Danny Keitch and Robbie Reyes. This one is Robbie. As for the Cage movies. There okay...not great....and Cage gives one of his typical performances...no need to rush and see. I do enjoy how you lace clips from movies or shows in order to drive home a joke or point 😃 BTW, perhaps you wouldn't have a problem remembering Daisy's name if it hadn't been a month since your last AoS.😂😂 JK....your reaction videos are fun 😁 Oh and IF Daisy and GR do ever get TOGETHER...would that then be called a Shake and Bake😝
The original Ghost Rider, carnival stunt rider, Johnny Blaze, rode a motorcycle made of hellfire. Created as the Spirit of Vengeance by Mephisto. His transformation triggered when in the presence of evildoers. First appearance Marvel Spotlight vol. 1 #5 August 1972. Artist Mike Ploog. Then came Danny Ketch who was a younger version of same. First appearance Ghost Rider vol. 3 #1 May 1990. Artist Mark Texeira. Then Robbie Reyes who traded in the bike for a black Charger automobile. First appearance All-New Ghost Rider vol. 1 #1 (2014). Artist Tradd Moore. Both Ghost Rider and his vehicles are supernaturally indestructible for all intents and purposes. Ghost Rider's main weapon are his chain made out of links of hellfire and his penance stare incapacitating his foes with the pain they inflicted on others. 😮 The first Ghost Rider is worth watching it is more comic book accurate. The second one went in a different direction more of a horror film than a superhero movie. It still has Nick Cage in it but the budget was lacking. The effects were not as good as a result. The script also was not up to par. 😅
Tasha, It's of course okay to watch Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter seperate from your viewing of the rest of the MCU. But when you get back to watching the other MCU projects, the next thing you should watch is.... 1.) The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (6 episode mini-series) 2.) Black Widow (movie) 3.) Loki [Season 1] (6 episodes) 4.) What If...? [Season 1] (9 episodes) 5.) Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (movie) 6.) Eternals (movie) 7.) Hawkeye (6 episode mini-series) 8.) Spiderman: No Way Home (movie) 9.) Moon Knight (6 episode mini-series) 10.) Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness After these, we'll discuss further when you get there.
Read/skimmed some comments but did not see anyone mention Sam Elliot... its probably as simple as the rider passed on to a different human as explained a bit later in the season. With Nick Cage he ran across the grave digger Sam Elliot who knew an awful lot about the rider then shows it saying "He has 1 more ride in him" Turing himself and his horse into a version of the ghost rider. So you have Horse Rider - Bike Rider - Car Rider - Bike Rider again(Mac) - I have not watched them all if theres others.
"Wouldn't that be funny if they hooked up? Let's make it happen." Not gonna say whether it becomes canon or not, but welcome aboard the QuakeRider ship, my friend 😂 And welcome to season 4, the best of them all. SO excited for you to go on this journey!
The Ghost Rider is a curse that can move from person to person. The movie Ghost Rider is a different character than the Agents of Shield Ghost Rider. I would suggest watching the first Ghost Rider film. It is a lot of fun and Nic Cage plays... Nic Cage with a flaming skull. I would not suggest watching the second Ghost Rider film. Even Nic Cage couldn't save that one.
YES!!! I'm definitely going to be watching the 1st Ghostrider here soon! I'm too intrigued and I absolutely love Nicolas Cage so how can I resist??? Lol
Nicolas Cage Ghost Rider character is Johnny Blaze from the 2 films. The Ghost Rider in this series is Robbie Reyes it's like the difference between Miles Morales and Peter Parker. In fact the Robbie Reyes from the comic book technically was not a Ghost Rider.
Oooohhhh ok! Thank you for explaining that! I couldn't even have told you Nicolas Cage's ghostrider's real name lol but this explains it well! Thank you! ❤️
If you are going to watch the Ghost Rider movies then I would suggest having a bottle of something strong to chug while you do so. They are both terrible. Fun fact: Nicholas Cage revealed a while ago that he was contacted about reprising his role as Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider he played in the movies, but he turned it down. It was either down to him not doing network TV or the money Disney/Marvel offered wasn't good enough. No matter though, Gabriel Luna's Robbie Reyes is a much better fit for AoS.
U use to work for the devil but ghost rider is actually a angel and returned to a angel once he broke free form the devil so he started hunting bad people and all of the devils demons and the devil and sending them back to hell atleast in the comic in the show it was a bit different
Was there music playing in the background at the end? There was something being picked up by the mic whenever you spoke and it made the audio sound terrible. It's worth investing in a good mic with noise cancellation.
Yes! For all my videos I have used the same song for the ending. It was one in my editing software. It has never been a problem and all of a sudden on this video it got copyrighted. So muting the song definitely changes up my voice as well in order for them to make it happen. I have since found another song to use lol
The Ghost Rider movies weren't very good but it would give you some back story on the character. I'd recommend just watching a reaction video to the movie. It's not worth it to watch the whole thing.
And so Ghost Rider kinda sorta becomes part of the MCU, and in typical MCU fashion, it's not quite the Ghost Rider from the comics or the films, but a re-imagining of the character.
