Stumbled upon this. Forgot how integrated some of the earlier seasons were before the TV franchise was completely spun off. Seeing Colbie Smothers reminded me of all the things that happened earlier on. Like Lady Sith for one episode. That all went away when Fiege decided to keep the two separate and soon all there would be is spoken references in what was going on in the movies. The showrunners did say it made things much easier for them when they did keep things separate, including the story telling.
I think it was Marvel tv division boss at that time, he didn't like to cross with the movie division of Feige, that kept every show separated and triggered Feige taking over tv division later on, that change is starting to reflect just recently with marvel studios and the production of tv shows for disney+
@@pablocantillanopalma7224 You are talking about Jeff Loeb, who was fired last year who used to run Marvel TV with mixed success. Success on Netflix but was canceled by Netflix because they did not want to post Disney material they paid for which was going to compete with Disney+. He also did AOS, Runaways (Hulu), Helstrom (Hulu), The Gifted (FOX), Cloak & Dagger (Freeform) and he is still responsible for the upcoming Hulu series MODOK which had barely started production before he left - so that will be his last series for Marvel that Fiege does not control. I pretty much agree with you.
@@kevinskoien6165 But Jeff Loeb ran the TV Marvel division when it existed. In the end the beef was with him not Ike. Even if Ike fought with him as well.
I’m a bad marvel fan I like the movies but only seen The Defenders Tv programme and some of Jessica Jones. I have season one and two of this series and really need to watch it
@@LaneCorbett Yeah. But, Coulson was the guy in the movie. Just have him show up, say “it’s a long story, longer than I think you have time for” and then have him hint to it at the end of the movie.
That look on Gonzalez’s face when Coulson gives him the cube. I know he turned out decent, but just the style of Coulson casually in forming him that Fury’s still alive and brushing him off to speak to Hill, it’s such a nice subtle way of sending the message, “Whatever you might think, we are still in charge.” Edit: I also love the look on Hill’s face when Coulson mentions Gonzalez puts everything to a vote. She’s not wrong though, SHIELD is a paramilitary organization, putting everything to a vote is an incredibly stupid and inefficient way to run such an organization.
So basically coulson saved the day again in another avengers movie. Cuz he provided the location of the scepter, and he refurbished the helicarrier that saved everyone at the end of AOU.
Always gonna be salty about Ward not revealing that lol. Nobody could really blame her, but at the same time Simmons jeopardized the mission for a chance to kill Ward.
@@Renagade2332 My son blames her, he said this "If was there i would've shot Simmons in the leg twice to stop her and Bakshi won't have died at all, she's blind by rage and hate for vengeance." My would forgive Ward what he did, he didn't kill them he got them out of the way so he couldn't do it.
It did. Theta protocol was the involvement of the Avengers in a Shield mission. “Did you find it “ was a reference to Baron Von Struckers hideout in Sokovia. That opening scene in Age of Ultron where the avengers are infiltrating that base, and iron man grabs the scepter, that was Theta Protocol.
@@REYTRACER it did tie in. Just not in movie form, but character form. When nick fury cameoed twice, every time Maria hill cameoed, or lady sifs episode. Agent Sitwell when he cameoed and mention he was to attend the Lumerian Star (which was the boat in the opening scene of The Winter Soldier). The howling commandos and Peggy carter appeared. Dr. List, a Hydra scientist whom was talking to baron von strucker in the opening screnes of Age of Ultron was a returning character for a few episodes, Gideon Malick whom nick fury told had a “stupid ass decision” in the Avengers was the main antagonist of season 3. The directors were really good at tying it all together
@@jonathanherrera2880 Dork, they mean for AOS to appear in the movie: Coulson, May, Skye, Fitz, Simmons, et al. To reveal to the other avengers that Coulson is still alive, Tony knows since he funded T.A.H.I.T.I.
I think when she was talking about the sceptre she may have actually been glimpsing Infinity War. Age of Ultron was instrumental in breaking apart the Avengers which led to Thanos' initial victory.
Huh???? She’s literally trying to defend Skye. Gonzales is the one with the superiority complex. He thinks he runs shield because he’s one of the last OG higher ups even tho Fury chose Coulson
Ohh so i was thinking who told avengers to go hydra base and steal Sceptre now i know in 2021 coulson tells to maria hill to send avenger team to the hydra base
Love this scene but it points out the problem with big budget sci-fi movies that threaten mass destruction. Ultron and his 'bots' didn't attack a large number of cities. Same with DC. Usually only one city and it's usually NYC.
First Avengers the attack was starting in NYC as that is where the portal was, the idea was to spread out from there. Ultron had a rather ingenious plan of actually turning a city into an asteroid that would decimate life everywhere. Only one city needed. He wasn't trying to conquer, he was exterminating.
Yeah... AOS before it went down hill with stupidities like the Time Storm. That coulda been good if it was done right, but it wasn’t and it was ridiculous to watch
I think season 2 is underrated, it has a good plot despite not having threatening villains. Season 5 was the main ending of the show, season 6 and 7 were just added for longer production but don't come close to any the seasons 2-5 (especially due to the fewer episodes which makes it more difficult to build a successful and competent storyline)
