Dudes, Gideon Malik was one of the World Council members for S.H.I.E.L.D. in the first Avengers movie. He was the one talking to Nick Fury. Also, NASA is a part of Hydra, & that just got me. I loved this episode.
Yes Eric! You're a genius! That guy actually creates invisible ninjas from his hands and can control them. Man, what an awesome power, too bad everyone else thinks it's just boring telekinesis.
Q&A: How awesome is Ward? I think he is one of the MCU's best villains. That plane scene was one of my favorites in the whole entire show! Keep up the great work!
13:30 it's not the history of Hydra. Hydra is just a recent development since world war two, that's long since worn out its usefulness. What caused the shadow organization to be formed in the first place was not Red Skull. He merely used what already existed, combined it with resources he got from the Nazis and developed his own variation of what existed before. Whether the "before" is zodiac or if that's something else or it's just another part of it I don't know but before Hydra, the organization was about sacrificing people to the monolith, getting to the other planet in hopes of meeting the creature on the other side, learning from it, perhaps taming it, and bringing it back here. To rule. That's what Malick wants to do. He wants to go back to that planet and now that he knows its possible to come back, he wants to get that powerful entity on that planet to come to Earth so he can use it to rule mankind. And now he's asking Ward to help him do that, since Ward refuses to just curl up and die. So it's not the history of Hydra. Hydra's a current event compared to what happened before World War Two, and what may have been going on since before Egyptian times.
It's also interesting that Red Skull was after the Tesseract, the space gem, which also has capabilities for interstellar transport. He may not have understood the real power of it but I'm interested whether some sources in Hydra, seeking to bring back the entity, left some information regarding it, leading him to it.
4:12 you totally missed Mac's response to Coulson's "that answer your concerns?" Mac said this brings up entirely new questions. He didn't say yes sir.
I'm considering Will an unwitting pawn in Hydra's game (like Roz appears to be) until it is absolutely confirmed that he wasn't just thrown onto the alien planet. Either he put on a good show for Jemma, or he and his team were just meant to be basically food/amusement for the super-old Inhuman meant to rule the planet. I want Roz and Will to be good, darn it! Ward keeps on adding reasons I love seeing him on screen but won't be sad when he's finally taken down for good. But at least he didn't intentionally kill the flight attendant and that entire plane!! I think he just wanted to cause as much terror while still "having fun" as he made his way to the Hydra vault. Heh.
3:18 Dude, she's so not a virgin. She probably threw down with that Rising Tide dude before the show started. Like in her van. I bet Coulson still has that van in cold storage for her somewhere. Just in case she ever wants to go back to her old life. I bet one of the Koenigs is sleeping in her van, playing Xbox games. Eating cheetos.
Great reaction video, guys! I will say this: If Zodiac and the Brotherhood of The Shield and The Brotherhood of the Spear exist in the MCU, then they are watching from a safe distance while everything plays itself out. I was hoping that the ram head's symbol was a designation for Aries, the call sign for Leonard Da Vinci, leader of the Brotherhood of the Shield and member of the Great Wheel of Zodiac. And I was also hoping that Gideon Malick was Da Vinci under a different name. Oh well.... Still, I like the direction this season is going. Season 3 has been my favorite season so far. Have a great week, guys!
Q&A.... So... How will Ward sabotage Malik's plans for his own gain? That reaction from him when he was told the true reason for Hydra screamed to me that he's gonna ruin the plan somehow...
Q&A The Inhuman on the planet might be related to Black Bolt, most likely his father, as he had exiled him in the comics. It would be cool to reference that.
Q&A What are your guys' thoughts on Grant becoming Hellfire or another superpowered character? Brett teased it in an interview last week and even mentioned chains(Hellfire). Plus Ward shares a ton of similarities with Hellfire.
+Alexander - B249 I had no idea who that character was until I saw you comment and looked him up on the wiki, but damn, they really do have a lot in common. It'd be awesome if it is true because then we'd sort of have this whole symmetry thing going on with the main hero and villain both slowly developing into big characters from the comics with their identities initially concealed/changed (in the case of Ward). Ward is a badass now, so I can't wait to see what he can do once he gets super powers. Let's just hope that if he does become Hellfire, they don't kill him off in the same way.
This is entering spoiler territory but . . . . I think that would be fantastic, I originally thought Joey's storyline would be like Sebastian Druid. Powerful, oddball who messes up and Daisy keeps wanting to vouch for to keep on the team while Fury (Coulson) wants him off.
Q/A- last season reina said to skyes mum jiyaing that 'daisy was the only one who could save the inhumans' what if thats linked to this season. For example they sent this evil entity to this other planet because he posed a potential threat, then the whole situation with jemma the only reason that they were able to save her is because skye held the portal open. What if daisy is not being killed by lash because of this reason he sense's that they need her to save everything?
Q&A: What is your thoughts on the real Will dying a long time ago on the planet and the Will Jemma encountered is the Ancient Inhuman HYDRA wants to bring back? It would account for him not aging and not being "Sciency". Also shouldn't an inhuman be in a somewhat human form? How else would it serve as a head of HYDRA - can people follow what they can't see? The planet is then a prison (maybe by design) that is trying to keep people from leaving hence the dusts-storms and changing the landscape (widening the gorge so they couldn't reach the portal).
Q&A: Last season we learned that the map that Garret and Coulson were drawing like crazy people, led to a city that was built to transform the inhumans, then we learned that the inhumans were made to be some kind of killing machines, that a war could happen and the inhumans would be the weapons. Now Lash showed up and was killing inhumans. Could it be some powerful inhuman comunicating with him telepathically? Because when he was asked why he was killing them he kind of told Coulson that he just knew that those people should die. What's your opinion and who do you guys think that is in the bottom of the food chain now, Shield or Hydra?
QNA: What do you think about the tie-in to Civil War being: CROSSBONES Many have speculated from the trailer that the initial incident that leads to Registration is a fight against Crossbones in Public that leads to many civilian deaths. I'd love to see him acquire equipment or information from Ward and Malick before by making an appearance on AoS. I also think that actor is "get-able" for a TV Series.
Q&A: S.H.I.E.L.D. really is dealing with a huge threat (an army of Inhumans led by the most powerful Inhuman ever), and since actually calling in the Avengers is too high-profile (calling in just one of them wouldn't really help anyway), do you think this could open up to a Defenders crossover (not all of them, just the ones introduced so far), and maybe even lead into the plot for The Defenders?
QNA with the current avengers line up, are we sure that sheild isn't better equiped? Sure they have vision and scarlet witch. But everyone else is matched or beat by sheild members capabilities. All we need is Mac to get his dang Shotgun-Axe and Joey to be able to more with his powers than arts and crafts and we have a team that could handle most things the avengers could. Heck if they save andrew and get their asgaurdian contact to get ahold of sif, they'll have their own hulk and thor. Which is more than can be said for the avengers right now. Heck they even have 2 black widows. Avengers need to step up their game.
Q&A kinda two actually. One do u think that the entity that Simmons and the other guy saw on that planet was the this monster inhuman they were talking about on this episode? Also which marvel character do u think this inhuman could be?
Q&A If Ward is going to use Lash against May, what do you think are the chances that Ward would use Roz against Coulson. After having Banks help get Hunter and Bobbi out, it's not exactly like she can just walk into work the next day. Let alone, Hydra wanting to get their hands on Fitz and/or Simmons now since technically two people have came back from portal planet (or even Daisy since she's the one that physically opened the thing).
Q&A,,Malik mentioned those sent thru portal could be used by the Entity, not just to sacrifice, but as servants. Do u think Will is that things servant and that it is the reason Will has survived for 14 years?
QNA: How much cooler did Mockingbird and her Batons just get in this episode? The boomerang-returning reminded me of the Iron Man Mark VII Armor from "Avengers" that found Stark via his bracelets and Cap's magnetized Shield from "Avengers: Age of Ultron"
Q&A: 1.did u guys saw a mention of GH 287 on the files which daisy pulled from ATCU server?are they trying to resurrect some hydra heads back? 2.that asgardian guy knew about inhumans though he wasn't supposed to know.do u think he has ties to hydra?that's how malick knew about Simmons? 3.baron zemo coming out of nowhere in CA:CW.do I think they're gonna change zemo's origin?like the inhuman they're trying to bring back is Zemo?
QNA: It seems that in addition to destroying Coulson and Shield, Ward is tasked with discovering how Simmons was recovered. Who should we worry about most? A) Daisy. B) Fitz. C) Simmons. D) Hunter's typing skills.
Will isn't a blood sacrifice he was sent so he could serve the powerful inhuman aka "Death" so he's a 2001 agent for Hydra. A possible theory is that he got tired of the mission that Hydra sent him for, so he could desert Hydra cause he was there for 14 years that may strain the connection he has with Hydra. But personally I think he will still stay with Hydra.
QNA I just noticed that theres some truth to fitz claim of the world being against him and jenma being together, as a result of their make out (Which I couldn't take seriously because I heard erics chanting in my head) they got a lead to save the compatitiion.
Q&A: I'm just throwing this out there. What if Will is the Grim Reaper aka (Eric 'WILL'iams). The name and reaper character on the same planet feels like a hint. The Grim Reaper can create illusions, so maybe "will" created that thing to scare Gemma into staying around. or the reaper character really is the Grim Reaper and he's reanimating the soul and body of Will? "I don't think daisy Johnson was called Sky in the comics" so Will could be Eric Williams with a different name. maybe? Please? Idk?
Q&A Does this mean that Will is H.Y.D.R.A.? And if Malak (KOTOR reference/pun) and Ward are rebuilding H.Y.D.R.A., where does Daniel Bruhl's version of Baron Zemo come into play? (Apparently Zemo isn't wearing a mask in the MCU,.........yet)
QNA? Do you think there is an arms race coming between SHIELD and Hydra for artifacts of power, such as the Serpent Crown, in addition to forming their own teams of super-powered operatives?
QNA: If the Strucker monolith stone was cut from a much larger stone, should we assume that there are many portals to other worlds? One regular sized monolith could easily be cut into fifty of those smaller ones.
Q&A: How long do you think we have till we see Shotgun Axe Mack in action? My money's on the mid-season finale, my back up is the second half of the season at the moment when shit hits the fan he will do the terminator walk and reveal it from a box of roses.
QnA: do you guys think that this almighty Inhuman Gideon talked about is The Unspoken? The former king of Inhumans who was deposed by Black Bolt and written out of Inhuman history? Also this backstory on Hydra is probably the best retcon in Marvel history. Til now HYDRA was always a crime syndicate established by Red Skull. Now it makes sense why Jiaying was so scared of Monolith, she feared that this Inhuman might break out.
+DefactoOverlord That's what I am thinking now. And it would make sense that The Unspoken was banished to that planet And Hydra started out as a cult to bring him back.
Q:A Considering the banished Inhuman seems to be the creature on that Kree planet. Does that mean this thing is hundreds of years old? If so any speculation how it is still alive? I'm guessing it takes life force from victims or body swaps with its powers. So... WILL IS NOW THE EVIL CREATURE". *mic drop* thoughts?
12:43 and 13:13... I think Eric and Aaron are just having a civil war themselves... Eric wants Coulson to know how to win along with Fitzsimmons to come together and Aaron Believes that Nothing good will come out of them, Coulson won't know what happens, and jemma is still on the bridge with will. the coulson thing is a split.. i mean I want him to know what to do but the new preview I saw made me think that he might take it to far
Q&A: So, here's the thing: Since Will had that symbol sewed on his coat, and that symbol happens to be an older version of HYDRA, doesn't that mean that Will is ''technically'' working for HYDRA? Just saying! :p
Q&A: Since we know this thing is an inhuman, do you guys think it could be the Unspoken One that another youtuber, EmergencyAwesome mentioned? He's apparently this all powerful inhuman that is the embodiment of Terrigenisis itself.
The master inhuman guy on the planet where jemma was? When he was in the space suit it reminded me of the monsters from Doctor who in the library episode where they would have two shadows and they infected people? They were in space suits too lol
Dick is Yummy Aaron 2015: If Shield reopens the portal and saves our beloved astronaut isn't there a chance he is now possed by the inhuman Hydra is trying to save?
+Gepap3 That was the theory. That it was Zodiac, and they sort of connected it because Zodiac are the symbols Hydra used. Ram's head etc. but I also heard that the SHIELD (2010) comic series actually gave Hydra more backstory just like this.
I get that this was their theory - my issue is with the idea that anything in the show did anything to confirm that theory. And yes, Hydra going back to the Third Dynasty of Egypt is something Hickman did, though the whole "built to bring back powerful being" is an invention of the show.
