Agents of Shield - 6x6 Inescapable - Group Reaction 

Did you notice that "evil" jemma had a bunch of easter eggs in how she looked. She had some leftover goldpaint on her forhead from her time in the future, her clothes were the ones she had on Maveth, she was kind wet from her experience being stuck under the ocean, and she looked kinda zombieish as she did when she woke up in her framework.

Its funny cause the main mission of the ep is time travel and it isn't solved at ALL but instead its just one big therapy session for FitzSimmons.

"You are so English." "Right, yeah, how Scottish of you to pick a fight on those grounds!"

This episode was pure genius. It got fitz caught up on what had happened in a clever, fast way. It dealt with their realationship problems and got them back togheter for good, basically ending their arc. It had fanservice, it had callbacks etc. And it was funny and enterteining as hell on top on all of this. Outstanding work.

And, yeah as you commented on, the scene with them morning Fitz is spectacular. Its such a genius way of doing it, by having them play the scene out so we know how they took it, jemma going from interacting with them, to seeing fitz reactions to it all.

My favorite episode! Extreme couples therapy! Iain and Lil are amazing actors!

Its so hard to properly write an episode that shows off so many different emotions in a single hour that also follows some sort of sensical path yet the writers of SHIELD did it flawlessly! I don't think there was a single moment that I wasn't glued to this episode and then for the rest of the season! Now I can't wait to see your reactions to the finale!

The Doctor and The Ring Zombie Jemma would make a creepy power couple.

The best thing about this episode was Fitz proposed the first time he saw Jemma in both the future and in present time. When he went into cryosleep he already knew he loved her so much that he was going to propose when he first found her which is amazing!!!

The first time I watched this, I was overwhelmed and I haven't felt that way since the first episode of the third season. That scene when Leo discovers his own death as well as the wedding ring really got me crying. Jemma should've just come clean from the get-go, but the chronicoms made it worse without consequence since emotion isn't something they're good at. I gotta admit though it's kinda funny seeing Leo scold young Jemma. And let's face it: Jemma pairs better with Leo than anyone else can, but we all know part of her quarrel against Aida is her jealousy talking. And finally, the argument in the containment module. I was laughing and I wanted to yell at those two mostly cuz they were interrupting each other and about to go berserk.

This was and always will be my favorite episode. Fitzsimmons arguement was the best.

I love young Jemma's storybook with rabbit Daisy, bear Davis, and monkey Piper!! I also thought the way they interact with their memories was a really nice touch.

_Still_ arguing over the timeline!?! It's not complex. They went to the future, fought some Kree, then jumped back to the "now" creating a _new_ timeline... one that no longer needed cryo-Fitz to sleep for 90 years, so when time-jumper Fitz died the team just had to revive sleeper Fitz... unfortunately he was abducted, etc. It also appears that in this timeline, Thanos didn't snap.

Iain should've won Emmy. I hate that he never won Emmy for this.

The supreme, absolute BEST episode EVER!

The Fitz that came back from the future had to die and that was why they killed him off at the end of season five. Once the future was corrected he or his other self had to die. They destruction of the ship he was in cryo-sleep on was attacked at the same time as the Fitz from the future got hit by the debris in that building in Chicago. One or the other had to be eliminated as there can't be two of them. The Universe will not allow it. With the future changed or rather the original event that created the cracked Earth time line having not occurred then Fitz going to the future would have been for no reason. The whole premise of the Multiverse in Marvel is that there are an infinite number of alternate realities and having diverged from the event that lead to the cracking of the Earth by their actions concerning Talbot as Graviton and keeping him from cracking the Earth they erased that future for their time line so Fitz going 90 years into the future now would have lead him to something completely different.

i just can't with the grandeur of iain and elizabeth's acting. they are sooo baddass, so artist and omg i LOVE see these two together it's like my favorite thing in the world, this ep is one of my fav ever and i'll never stop say that. i love them so fcking much

While I think the show kinda overdid the FitzSimmons thing in season 6 just a little bit, this episode is still among my top 5 of the show along with The devil complex, self control, identity and change, AND: rewind (honorable mentions : SOS, ascension, fun and games; edit: I forgot: 4722 hours) Just everything was on point in this episode, especially the performances

Shield Time and we have made it! Fitz and Simmons finally to reunite, prepare the neverending rollercoaster ride's next loop Rana's already ready to not be ready You know what else is inescapable? Pat's theories of a Ward return More than you know, seems that Fitzsimmons are in a shared mindspace, so essentially they are in a Matrix Jemma gets to say 'Absolutely' this time as we-PAT DON'T FUCKING RUIN IT Bad Book! Bad Book! Pat just...why? Why would Fitz even want to bring Ward? Well to Jemma's credit there's no easy way to tell your Alpha Timeline future husband that 'deep breath' he arrived in the future where he was shot, dig a little too deep into his darker side, arrived back in the past by blowing up Enoch, discovered a 'fear dimension' which required him to make a gravitonium device, got married, realised that the gravitonium device would break, got mentally taken over by the doctor, hacked an LMD to attack his grandson, his friends and hold Jemma at gunpoint so he could butcher surgery an inhibitor chip out of Daisy's neck which led to his best friends no longer trusting him, watched as Jemma almost drank acid to prove a point, busted out of Shield holding to destroy a gravitonium machine, almost died to a shootout of LMDs, got brutalized by an angsty HYDRA teen and they had to rebuild it, were almost crushed by the same girl who couldn't control her powers, Coulson who has been a father figure to both of them reveals that he's dying and died sometime during his cryostasis with neither Fitz being able to say goodbye and then in saving Mack died after a plate of debris partially bisected him...also I don't think Jemma wants to retread that territory but we're not just going a little in the past, we are going right to the Fitzsimmons beginnings, back to curly hair Fitz But if you're in Fitz's mind, you will have to see the Doctor...not the only villain hidden in the midst though, Jemma's trauma has been bottled up too, and now it manifests: into Ringu Jemma Ringu Jemma is comprised of practically every trauma she's sustained; wet from the drowning, gold paint from Kasias, dirt from the Framework death and some Maveth stuff in there too Henstridge and De Caestecker are range personified All they needed though was some Venting, and still the end is the same, still they love each other...like, through and through ironic that even the most evil parts of Fitz and Simmons are hot for each other XD Oh yes, Enoch didn't just pull a sneaky, he's taken *Bold Action* the things you never get to see... MCU timeline seems to work on favouring the Alpha timeline version of a person, so unless the alpha is killed beforehand (like Gamora) then the intruder of the timeline is the one who's doomed. The only time travel where you go into a past self and retain the memories is more X-Men Days of Future Past but that gets messy when the timeline changed, but you're still in one body Be careful Suraj, nuts are just one step to the left of eggs o.o

Having two versions of yourself in the same time doesn't guarantee that one of you will die. That's how Futurama does time travel in one of their movies, but it's not a guarantee. It depends on the type of time travel that your universe employs. If your universe is ruled by Novikov's Self-Consistency Principle, then the future version might die, but there's no guarantee. The past version won't die. If you're using the Parallel Universe type of time travel, then your past or future self could die, but there's no guarantee that either of you will. If your universe is ruled by Plastic Time, then either version of yourself could die, and if your past self dies, your future self will die, but if your future self dies, your past version might not. Neither has to die under any type of time travel. Unless your universe happens to have that rule added in randomly despite it not being causally connected to the logic of time travel.
