Agents of SHIELD Deserves to be Loved 

Fitz is the most complex and well written character in the MCU

Another highlight of the show : It's a great spy show with cool gadgets, surprising plot twists and clever mysteries. Combine that with superheroes and a parade of entertaining guest characters. The story arcs moved at lightning speed and episodes were never bogged down with filler.

Another reason why AoS got renewed past season 5 was due to the unexpected flop of the Inhumans. ABC originally wanted to cancel AoS in order to move Inhumans into their time slot, but then the Inhumans premiered and was utter garbage and abc started freaking out like "Nevermind! We can't put this dumpster fire in one of our prime slots! Bring back that Agents show, the ratings were at least better than this." If Inhumans had been a success, I guarentee you, we would not have seen seasons 6 and 7 of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The show itself just understands marvels DNA. Skye is an innocent kid like Peter parker and evolved into her own hero. May is the not smiling very serious character. Which is so difficult to pull off in live action. Look at brie larson I hate to hate but may did the serious badass better. Then you have fitzsimmons they are the science aspect of the marvel universe. Which is just so crucial to stan Lee formula using as much real life science as possible to make the world more grounded. Not to mention fitz has that whole mad scientist thing hank pym had WITH multiple personalities as well. Couldon himself is like a nick fury Steve rogers Peter parker hybrid. This show is not about any one big character. It just understands what marvels actual DNA of story telling is. But people will say its not cannon like it matters. Its writing is unparalleled. Daredevil is the best adaption series. Agents isn't based on a comic. But just like coulsons he was birthed somewhere unique outside of comics. Like Harley or x-23. The show itself is one of the coolest thing marvel and Disney ever did with original characters. People got mad when Barry Allen was savitar. Because he's a super old character. Daredevil season 2 ruined the hand. Or the new spiderman is too childish. Understand these aren't my criticisms. These characters are almost 100 years old. They are subject to so much disappointment. Where as shield had true freedom to the point where they ignored the snap. And they were right too!

The main reason I want the characters to return in the MCU is so that the people who never watched the show but keep parroting “SHIELD bad” will actually have to watch it and see what they missed.

I agree with everything you said in this video. I have been a devoted fan of this show since the first time I saw an advertisement for the PILOT. I watched it faithfully, live, every single week for all seven years, and I cannot for the life of me understand why so much of the broader MCU treats this show like the ugly stepchild. The characters were fantastic, the storytelling was bold and enthralling, the acting was top tier, the fight scenes were awesome, the music, and editing, and special effects were all lightyears ahead of any other marvel shows. How Iain DeCaestecker somehow managed to end his tenor on this show WITHOUT an Emmy is just a personal affront to all the acting gods. I love this show so much, and I will always recommend it to everyone. When the show was airing, it was frustrating to see how little respect it got from the MCU. Originally, we all thought that there would be this two-way street between the Marvel television universe and the theatrical universe, but after season one, it became very clear that that street was more of a one-way street than a two-way. AoS tried to keep the ties between itself and the greater MCU strong by including the helicarrier story in season 2, but after that, it felt like they just kind of stopped trying to tie in to the movies. And honestly, I was all for that. The movies had every opportunity to acknowledge what was going on in the show, and they refused to do it. So as far as I'm concerned, when AoS stopped extending the olive branch and just committed to telling their OWN stories I really feel like we got some of the stongest arcs of the whole series, like the Framework storyline and time travel stuff. It was just such a good show.

This show went against all the odds, delivered 7 fantastic seasons with some of the best characters/ character development and storylines I have ever seen. Most importantly it delivered a satisfying finale, which most shows fail at. It should have failed, yet it didn't.

Rebooting or recasting would be the worse decision Fiege would ever make. After seven glorious seasons with glorious development and acting, to have it be reduced to non canon would be killing Quicksilver off in Age of Ultron levels of bad. Chloe Bennett is Daisy Johnson same as Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool. I would rather it be revealed they live in another universe then have this show be reduced to be snapped away.

Agents of SHIELD, the little show that could. The show's existence and success is like the classic Hollywood underdog story. So many people gave up on it and thought it wasn't gonna last, and there they were in the end, the last show standing and going out on a high note and sticking the landing in a way that few shows have been able to do successfully in the last few decades. It doesn't nearly get enough credit in how well the stories and characters they've created.

AOS is one of these shows, people who have never watched talk shit about it non-stop, but everyone who gave it a fair chance and got through the rough part of season one adores it.

Skye/Daisy/Quake has become one of my favorite superheroes. I would love to see her in the MCU.

I binged all of AoS after getting Disney + around christmas, and it is one of the best shows i've ever watched, the happy moments gave me so much joy, and the sad moments, Spy's goodbye, Season 5.s end, trip, davis, talbot, kreel etc, i was crying multiple times a day during it due to how heartbreaking some of the sad scenes were, and the cast was amazing. I'd love to see Deathlok, Quake, fitz, simmons, Mack and YoYo or any of them return.

Actually shields viewership is higher than any marvel show. Disney just doesn't account for international viewers. That's why it's "passionate fan base" would bully abc into another two seasons. It's because it has a HUGE following. Just not in America

AOS was doing DarkHold storyoine before any of this MCU Wanda Vision, Feige just straight away pulled the DarkHold into MCU from AOS, and frankly AOS did a much better job by exploring what the DarkHold does to regular people and from where it actually comes and connects to all, it would be amazing if they showed that somehow Agatha stole Darkhold from Ghost Rider as we last see the said book with him, and the AOS are brought back to help retrieve it only to find out that Wanda is the one using it now, it would be really amazing to atleast get a AOS Easter egg during Wanda's scene with DarkHold showing that she is slowly getting corrupted due to the effect AOS showed in season 4, and instead of going crazy she is causing chaos across the whole multiverse and she might be using the same spell that Aida used in AOS to materialize herself from her abstract form, similar thing Wanda can do to materialize her sons, in fact she created a sort of hex dimension around her using her chaos magic to bring back Vision and give birth to her sons and when that world stopped receiving chaos magic power it stopped working, doesn't it ring some bell to what happened to all those in Framework ,as they disappeared, Framework was in itself a coded dimension built using the knowledge of DarkHold (chaos magic spells), which was studied by Fitz and Aida and the Dr who built her to put her dying wife's consciousness into the Framework so that he could live with her forever (massive similarity to Wanda Vision whole plot, considering this was done before Wanda Vision), it's really stunning to see that AOS has done much of the aspects already that MCU is going forward with.

I love this show so much. You hit the nail right on the head about the range of acting shown. Season 4 is my favorite. All the little details that are there to be found, and the TREMENDOUS acting done by basically the entire cast that season. SO GOOD!!!

Been a fan of this amazing show since it first came on the air and thank you so much for this video, definitely need more voices out there reminding people it’s more than worth their time. Oh and by all means do that 5 hour video on Shield or any longer version of this, I’m sure a lot of people would love it.

AoS was and is my childhood. When I first saw a trailer for season one, I was 10 years old, and I watched it until the end. The seven years the show ran, I dedicated my time to it. AoS has had a tremendous effect on my life and I am proud to be a fan. The actors, creators, staff and crew all played pivotal roles and I thank them for creating such a beautiful show.

One of the best shows out there, amazing effects, actors, character growth, and you can really tell how much the show meant to not only the cast but the fans who watched it. Great video!

I honestly saw the Honest Trailer for this first and thought I would hate it. Then I watched Wandavision and during the theorizing people mentioned Agents of Shield, and it occurred to me that there might be something I needed to know for the MCU. Then I watched it and realized on the first episode that the setup was great. I kept watching, digging the premise and the characters. Then the Hydra reveal and I realized, this was a good show But the funny thing is, I kept thinking back to that Honest Trailer asking myself what was it about that sum up of the show that made me think I would hate it? I didn't want to return to it in case of spoilers, but I was wondering "Are the first seasons good and the later seasons bad?" So I kept watching ready to put down the remote if the show lost it's staying power. I almost got there at the beginning of season 6, but I stuck through. And absolutely loved it. Rewatched the Honest Trailer and realized they made a joke that they didn't watch it past the first half of the season. EXPLAINED

AOS is my favorite part of the MCU! I was high key upset they didn't get any mentions in the movies! It's the character development for me! There is so much I could say but it all really boils down to the characters and thier development!!

COULD NOT AGREE MORE. Plus, I don't mind people saying that they haven't watched/didn't like AOS or even that it's not cannon MCU anymore. But what makes me so mad is when people try to discredit it and say it's a bad show BECAUSE it deviates from the MCU timeline. Like, it had to do that because the movies wouldn't acknowledge its existence. And not having Avengers cameos doesn't make the show bad. I just wish more people were willing to judge it on its own merits.

I love AOS more than any other marvel property. Amazing, AMAZING characters, tremendous storytelling with one hand tied behind their backs.

Even though AoS didn't have a big visual crossover with the big screen MCU, there were a few visual cross references to the Hulk and Captain America in the first episode, and Coulson and other cast characters have made verbal references to Peggy Carter, the SSR, Howling Commandoes, Tony and Howard Stark, Red Skull and other characters to tie AoS and MCU together in the same universe. There's even an episode where Coulson goes to a diner, puts down a newspaper that has a photo of Peggy Carter and her obituary.

Thank you so much for making this video. This is my favorite show of all time. Not only should it be respected for accomplishing what no other Marvel show could do, but also for being the best example of doing the best with what you're left with. The managed to be a great show under incredibly difficult surcumstances. In the age of bad endings like Game of Thrones, Dexter, Lost, Sopranos, Himym or overstated welcomes like Simpsons, Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy and the Arrowverse. I'm glad Agents of Shield got to last for a long time, just long enough to have a wonderful ending to these wonderful characters.

This show needs more popularity very underrated

In a since-deleted interview clip, Jeff Bell mentioned how the movie people approached them about bringing Coulson back as an LMD for season seven and how cool it was that the movie people asked them to do that. I suspect leaving Daisy in space at the end may have also been a movie people request that has been hushed up. I really think we will see Coulson and Daisy in the movies again at some point. My biggest question is whether Daisy Johnson will be played by Chloe Bennet or not, she has said a few things that pissed off the movie people in the past so they might recast her (which would be a tragedy).

I LOVE this show. Just watch it. They did lots of elements in TV Show RIGHTS. From story plots and characters developments. They know how to use good writing, new perspective, and limited sources to their own fields and make it into their own shows. They also didn't fail to teach the viewers the importance of chosen family. AGENTS OF SHIELD IS A MASTERPIECE

Back in my senior year I watched Agents of Shield season 1, Daredevil season 1, the complete Video Game High School show and The Flash season 1 and I CANNOT describe how much of an experience that was. It hasn't been the same ever since.

Dude from the quality I expected you to have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, and yes I agree with literally everything you said, this show is so incredibly underrated, the acting of Iain de Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet alone make it worth watching

I wish they would have brought Hunter and Bobbi back after their pilot wasn't picked up. They were a great addition to the show. Hunter was great with Fitz and Coulson and Bobbi's fights were some of the best.

Look, it's all a matter of preference Everyone enjoys classic Marvel movies Agents of SHIELD is a breakaway from the classic Marvel movies where heroes wear tight and brightly colored spandex or leather and almost everyone have magic and powers, so if you're up for something a bit more mature, yet with just as much fun, thrill, plot twists, humor, and tearjerkers, then I'm telling you, you will definitely enjoy Agents of SHIELD

Back when the whole discussions "does it renewed, does it not" were happening and all fans were on the edge of their seat, word was that there was someone at Disney itself who saw the potential in the show and pushed ABC to keep renewing it. Whoever that was it was certainly not Feige.

I honestly watched AOS before I watched the MCU movies, and it was quite nice it REALLY deserves more recognition, it has quite an amazing story line and the heros ARE badass not gonna lie, they all deserve a spot in the MCU, also the amount of cameos of other characters from other movies really tied the show together, like lady sif, nick fury, Maria Hill, agent Sousa, (I think there is more but I forgot 😅)

Started it for Coulson. Watched the first few episodes for Ward. Watched the rest 7 seasons for Fitzsimmons and I stand by that (not that I don’t absolutely love the other characters too). This show is amazing

Season 5 is definitely my favourite. Season 7 would have come a closer 2nd if it had more Fitz.

Aos must have lived on because the producers loved the crew and every fan loves it. Also, if it ended at season 5 I would still not be disappointed. 5 and 7 are both perfect endings in their own way.

I have no idea why many don't like season 1, but for at least myself, it's a great season as it created the base and pillar to start the team development. But then again it's my opinion, others have their own reasons for liking season 1 less. I love all 7 seasons.

I love how when you created this people still thought that phase 4 was going to have good quality content, both in the movies and shows. I honestly think that it was just too much for Kevin to take on so many different things at once, and he crumpled under the load.

I love, LOVE this show sooo much!!

I know some people don't consider it canon which I find odd since it directly references things from the movies (the only real reason it never was considered canon was because 0:51-1:23), but I didn't know people considered it underrated in general. It also does things before the MCU movies did. It can be argued that since they did it first Coulson's death unintentionally created an in-universe situation where he didn't tell the movie character useful information they could have used. There are more ways to consider this canon even without _Loki._ But with _Loki_ it is easier than before. I think we have a connection to the MCU still even now that the series is over. Its really a head canon situation until anything is official and all the shows give fans things to work with.

After watching most of mcu phase 4 on Disney + hotstar I decided to put my D+h subscription to better use and began watching AoS again from season one episode one. Even though the quality of the first season is far below the heights reached in seasons 4 and 5, after most of mcu phase 4, it is like watching Shakespeare. By the end of the series you care more about its main characters than anyone else in the mcu. Somehow it goes to the heart.

I think Clark Gregg is my favorite actor of all time. If they decide to make more AOS it better have him in it or I’m going to riot in the streets!

Started this show last year with some online friends. It started just as "lets watch a few episodes so everyone can keep watching on their own". It ended up being the backbone of our newly formed friendgroup and gave me some of the best moments of the last few months. I have met them all in real life since, multiple times. This show brought us together. We finished the last episode yesterday, and we will start the netflix shows soon. The show was great, especially season 4. Man did it twist and grow in ways i did not expect. I can now confidently say that Fitz-Simmons are my favourite marvel characters. To anyone who has not seen it fully, grab some friends and have a great year!

I wasn't aware this show even existed until the second half of 2021, having only saw Disney+ shows. I was forcing myself at start (what? 100+ episode), but, boy, I ended up so hooked! This show is amazing!

I just realised that AoS is the most violent media if you count with the movies and the Disney+ shows. Like people freaked out on the scene with John Walker. But shit was happening in AoS

I have re-fallen in love with this show in the last year or so! But I am really scared with what might happen if they brought these characters into the MCU, I am happy with what we have, all I want is for someone to confirm it's a cannon alternate timeline and I'll be happy. If they must bring in characters, do it as a cool cameo, help them get back to their happy timeline, and be done. After Fisk and Xavier, (and honestly sub-par storytelling) I don't want the MCU getting anywhere near our favorite agents 😅

This was the show I looked forward to every Tuesday since I was in middle school.

i am loving the new marvel shows, Wanda and Winter Soldier, their quality on point .... but it’s frustrating because the end of Wanda was just rehashing themes I already saw addressed better in Shield! SPOILERS: aka Mack’s love for his Unreal Matrix daughter, the Darkhold and its influence, and now the “you are foretold to destroy the world, now that you embraced your powers” theme with Wanda. Even the black and white stylized retro episodes .....I ALREADY SAW THIS. So it’s cool and all, but lacks punch. And it doesn’t even pay homage or wink at AOS, to throw hardcore Marvel fans a bone. That feels so weird and disrespectful. Watching Wanda address her grief with Vision and coming into her powers were what touched/amazed me, but the other elements fell flatter because they didn’t have Shield’s depth. Maybe it’s unfair to compare, given their different run times- but shield’s later “pod format” accomplished just as much in short amounts of time.
