Really liking these videos, especially how you highlight the relationship between grinds. Would really appreciate your take on spinning in and out (mostly spinning out) of grinds and the progression of it. In particular, how to master the "pop" out of a grind, into fakie and beyond. Cheers dude keep it up!
Man any backside stuff is scary to me. I guess with the exception of the torque and full torque for some reason. But then there are guys who are way more comfortable with backside and avoid frontside (especially for royale's or unity's). Anyway good video! Definitely helps me as I really need to get on my backsides.
Hey man, I really dig your channel. These tutorials are super helpful. I appreciate the technical aspect you focus on. I cant wait to see your top 3 switch ups!
I have exponentially progressed the past month, my natural leaping ability allows me to skate transition and quarters with ease. I struggle with grinds a bit, especially backside, this has def helped.
"I work a full-time job too and I'm still tryna get out here and make these tutorials for us." Thanks for keeping it real man, it is hard to make time and learn to skate while having a full-time job. Thanks for showing that it is possible to have a full-time job and learn how to skate.
Thanks! Here's a clip of my on this rail. I didn't have the time to film the backside trick and photograph it. We literally had 30 min in between clients to make this. Hope you enjoy this short edit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FkLoHQhWwKA.html
Thank you! The arms go up and they stay there as best as you can. They will move along the way and that's when the ride begins. Find balance and enjoy the ride🤙
very helpful chanel....when i go to a skatepark with my skates on i see myself doing really cool shit...bust most of the time all i end up doing is skate around the skatepark🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♀️
The videos are great, thank you! I don't know if it's video worthy, but do you have any tips on staying up and riding it out on the ledge? I started some of the basic grinds last year, and I've become more comfortable with them, but I can only grind for a couple seconds before leaning away and coming out of the grind. I know I need to be more on top of the ledge, but I can't seem to get it from my brain to the body.
Thank you! I plan on covering this soon, but with the NWST coming up I probably wont get to it till next month. But for now speed is vital. I think with ledges you need to know how fast to go, to slide the whole ledge. Also the way you look will determine where you'll go. If you look off to the side of the ledge, that's where you're going. If you look to the end that's where... hopefully you should go. Also try pressing down into your feet. Sometimes that helps with duration. But mostly its speed and landing in a way that keeps the speed. Hope this helps for now. Have fun and enjoy the process🤙
@@acostablades8138 Awesome, thank you! I definitely have a habit of looking down at my feet to watch my lock. I'm gonna put your tips to practice!. I do need step it up my speed even though it freaks me out haha.
Can you recommend an at-home adductor exercise? I hurt something in that area because I wasn’t able to hold a strong stance. I can’t go to the gym because COVID.
It’s odd, my right foot is dominant and I find it easier to do a backside switch(can barley do a backside) , possibly because that has my left foot forward.
Dont worry! I'm beginner, if i can do it i front slide goofy, but my soul foot tends to be the opposite regular side. I'm goofy stance on skateboard, but maybe i learn everything switch? Best not to think about goofy, or regular. You facing forward either way unlike on skate board.
I am able to frontside ledges and rails and somewhat switch frontside ledges. When it comes to backsides I just started getting some long slides on round rails but on ledges going backside I always seem to get wheel bite on my front foot. Any tips? Looking forward to a switch up vid!
