Awesome display Hipper, went with a secondary build, with rudder as one of the options on Tirpitz, was so much fun, had some really good battles. Love the 1 v1 ranked, this should be available for all tiers each month with the emphasis on either a particular country and/or type of ship.
Nicely done. I actually went 8-1 one with the Lutjens (Baltimore/Von Muller) Hipper. I then decided to switch it up and went Odin and went something like 6-6 and couldn't get the hang of it. Ugh. Went back to the Hipper and won 6 in a row to rank out. Dumb of me to switch it up. Interesting. I saw SO MANY Brandenbergs it was nuts. I probably saw 7 in a row at one point. I had to really bait their torpedoes, and I couldn't have done it without a very quick rudder build.
Well done! Got an 80% with Odin, 68% main gun accuracy. Funny how brawler battleships aren't meta, until it's just 1v1. Most of the games I lost were to German crusiers. Didn't lose a single game to a destroyer. Having sonar & torps is essential to winning.
very cool compilation video wicked work. I went 16 and 2 with an agile build Mainz CE. I actually lost my 1st game of the season rather unfortunately because I forgot to put fresh batteries in my controller and i got sunk while looking at the "please reconnect your controller" screen... oops lol. Interesting how many cruisers you faced I only saw 4; 2 mogami (agree weird choice there) 1 mainz 1 hipper. Saw lots of DDs and Battleships. You saw a ton of other Hippers though very exciting
Nicely Done Hipper! I managed an 89% rate in a semi-agile Prinz Eugen as I only have Baltimore as an inspiration. Very strong German presence in ranked tier 7 although I did meet a very agile Edinburgh.
Agree totally Hipper, I’ve been playing Mainz CE, Weimar (twice), and the Hipper. I’m struggling some with Hipper. You make the turns look so easy. I’m running agile build on all three with double rudder and what not but it’s looks like it still turns better. That extra sonar is boss. They can’t get away!! I go for the double cap every time and force them to engage, if they don’t I win. If they push it, I win. It’s a win win
Good stuff. Agile Hipper was my go to as well. Only lost to a fletcher that came right at me and I made a misplay lol. Closest other loss was against a Mainz that knocked out 2 of torpedo tubes in his first 3 salvos lol.
I was determined not to do ranked as everyone else in German criusers. So I went with Martel and Atago. Worked very well even against Mainzs and Hippers. ❤️💪💥
Great video sir and nice run...I kept my Hipper in port for this one..mostly ran my Edinburgh and Odin...Edinburgh hurts with only 3 torpedoes per rack but man she turns and hits hard in CQB..

I almost did mine in a Hipper or Mainz after doing tier 6 in the York which was much the same. Not sure I would've used the Weimar though as the armour is better in the Hipper.
I get your point but for me Ranked one vs one is a great test arena to try differient builds and I prefer to play ships that are hard to play give it a bit of challange though I get very bored.Yes Hipper is a good choice but Mainez is the meta king so many of them out there this time.
I used hipper, one loss. It's perfect for ranked in pretty much every situation. Especially catching dds with their pants down, very little they can do. Anyone dissing the hipper either has a bad build or is bad at the game. I have more of an offensive build than you but hey, works for me.
I finished ranked in one go last night with only losing 1 battle using a ship probably no one would think about using - the monarch! I received some rather amusing rage mail from a massachusetts and a JB player.
@@VIIHIPPER thanks, I think monarch is underrated her only down side really is shes sluggish and no aa. Yeah the trickiest fights were against mainz and hippers, but managed to bait and dodge most torps. Monarch with brawler, big7 and running with scissors hits really hard and fires fast for a bb. Against bbs 1v1 if you both know how to angle it becomes a HE battle and monarchs super heal and good HE she can't lose. They usually realise it too late and try to ram haha.
