It WAS not perfect, she struggled to say what she wants. And I am NOT saying that to disqualify her in any way. She has a very good command of English. But it's not her native language and expecting someone to be "perfect" and expressing themselves (and their thoughts) like they would on their native language, is actually underestimating that person. But kudos to her for being interviewed in a foreign language and managing that quite well. And yes, it IS a foreign language for her and for me, though we're both quite advanced. Watching this and reading the comments, I realize that you can only lose when talking to monolinguals in their language. She has so much more to say and there is so much more depth in the interviews she has given in Swedish (which of course i have seen with English subtitles, because I don't speak Swedish myself, but that's not the point). I understand very well, when she said in one of those interviews, that she doesn't like to give interviews in English That's simply not her - and as a German living in Spain I can relate to this very well. Probably not all people. Those who lack a certain depth are probably fine with it. But I am not - and she is not either, though it came out at much later stage (I think it was an interview for Swedish TV in 2004 or around that.)
This seemed like more of a mature interview for a change. The interviewer asking more sensible interesting questions than the regular superficial ones most have asked the members of Abba.
While time after time in all European TV interviews she was asked only about her fear of flying and when ABBA would reunite, the Americans asked her something about everyone wanted to know: You are incredibly rich now , what do you do with the money?
It didn't take long for the interviewer to change the subject to ABBA and Money Money Money 🥺😠I feel sorry for Agnetha . She travelled more than 4,500 miles to promote her new English solo career and album etc 🎤🎵...You can tell she is slightly annoyed ?..Note the sighs 🥺🙄... Many interviews were like this ..
Uh, no, the 87% tax rate did not apply to all of your income, just as the top tax rate in the US doesn't apply to all of your income. It's a shame that a supposedly educated guy like the interviewer perpetrated this myth.
