This looks like a great highly stylized G1 Prime. Even just getting pack 1 gives a lovely display piece with the head and chest. It seems odd that they had you test the electronics after they were basically all glued in place. If the mouth motor didn't work for instance, the covers of the screws on the helmet sides were glued in, so getting it apart again would have been a problem. I'd recommend testing lights and motors before they're inaccessible, just in case of a bad part.
Wayne, thanks for starting a series on the Agora G1 Optimus Prime. I'm going to start working on the K.I.T.T. model, so I need to finish that before doing anything else. Thanks again.
I love that each pack is like a complete part build. I am shocked that a piece of this scale requires so much glue tho. Most of those could have easily been snap-tite or screwed in place considering the size of the parts.
If you need a visual reference to understand its height when completed it will be 10 cm shorter than the batminator and 20 cm taller than the iron man you see behind Wayne.
Looking good so far, shame it won't be able to transform though but given the price of the model that size that can do that automatically I'm not surprised they weren't able to implement the feature, even a manual one.
I missed this video, Wayne. I caught it in time, and I'll be watching this for certain. I always enjoy watching your videos. This one will be no different. I'm looking forward to the next pack.
A very very nice start to the build. Just to ask could you do a size comparison with the Optimas Prime head and the Terminator head on screen to show everyone please. Loving the new build. Stay safe all.
Lou the model is not based on the original G1 it is like some of the newer versions of the toy models. But if someone got say two of it thay could then do a nemesis prime paint job.🧑🎨🤔
what you need to do for the transition is have the sound effect when they are switching from autoboot to deceptions. i think that would be way better that the transformation sound effect
I mean, looks cool.. can it transform to vehicle when finished? 😁 looks huge, it would be a nice feature, maybe impossible for agora models to do but just asking 😁
@@WorldofWayneUK Is that 'posable' as in the badly compromised possibility the Iron Man model ended up with (as in not being able to recreate iconic poses without swapping out whole chunks of the model, or bits popping off)?
Hi I have just started building Optmas Prine I am following your videos and looking at the illustration on the agora web site I just wondered are the illustration always right . After building the head the end result looks different to the illustration I hope you can help
@WorldofWayneUK I have a question. What's the name of the little metal tool you use to apply the glue? Do you have a link on where to purchase? Thank you in advance!
@@WorldofWayneUK Awesome! Thank you so much! I'm building Optimus Prime from Agora myself and definitely do NOT want glue everywhere! Cheers! Thanks again!
Wayne I've just received my 1st box of thus build no instructions and that little motor the piece with the 2 lugs on that slides mine doesn't and you say use black screws from pack 2 yet your screwed in chrome screws ?
Oh, I was hoping not to like this, but looks way better than I imagined and I may just have to get it now. Do you know if this is the same model as what Fanhome is going to release? I can't believe there would be 2 different model versions being done, but maybe? If same I'd just get this now from Agora but if possibly different, may wait to see what Fanhome is releasing.
Man.. I'd love a G1 toon prime!.. I have all of the season 1 masterpiece Transformers.. this one looks nothing like the toon or toy.. looks like TONKA or fisher price designed this. Makes me a bit sad they took it this direction.😅
please hurry. It looks extremely complicated. You might think there was a lot of red screws, there are so many more with nuts and they are much smaller. Thank goodness for you. It might drive you crazy though.
Going to do the deagostini one as it's the one from the movies. Don't like the look of this one and yes I know it's the original one from the animated shows
I would recommend putting glue on the tabs and letting it dry first before putting it all together. That way you can have it friction fit and still be able to take it apart if you need or want to. That’s one of my tricks with model kits that I want to take apart so I can open it back up if I want. But not all tabs need glue. Sometimes it already has the friction to hold itself together. So I’ll do a dry fitting first and see if it needs any tightening and then take the next steps that are required to make it fit correctly. Good luck and happy building.😊
@@WorldofWayneUK No it,s that you forgot to mention in the1st pack of your RU-vid video of this statue build is going to be 1:2scale or 1:3scale in size that,s all i was asking you Wayne
@@bedfordshiremodeller4491 problem is the size of Optimus varies between the various source materials some have him at 6m tall others at 75m so you can’t really state a scale size.
