I really backslid during quarantine and was so depressed, feeling as though all my progress was lost. Your video gave me the confidence to force myself out there and now I’m back to driving and walking again. Thank you so much Lauren!!

When I was younger I travelled across the Nullarbor by myself. I've driven for miles then walked to waterfalls in the middle of nowhere. Last week I had to drive to Melbourne with my son. I was so bloody happy when I parked because we made it. It throws me these days. I even followed the bloody gps which was an achievement. On the way home I just went out Sydney road because that was all I could handle. But I did it. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for making this video! I really needed to hear this, and it reconfirms to me what I knew I had to do all along - just get out and do it... plus it never ends up being as bad as I think it will so that's motivation as well. You're doing great!

Hello! I'm an agoraphobic man from France. Thank you very much for this video! It's very helpful. And I like what you said about the local shopping center: "It doesn't feel local when you're agoraphobic" 😄 That's so true.

This lockdown has made my anxiety worse as the streets are much busier than usual. But since watching this video, I've decided im gonna go outside right now and see how far i can walk. I haven't been diagnosed with agoraphobia as I only go a few days not going out, but I can feel it will worsen if I don't get hold of it now. I already have severe anxiety/ panic attacks. I don't want something else on that list. Thanks for the video. I really needed it. Xx

I relapsed back into agoraphobia due to some death's in my family it's been the worst I've been in the 10 years since being diagnosed with anxiety I'm 24 now and really want to overcome this. One thing that's been bothering me is my town and house feel unfamiliar and different did you ever get that feeling ?

I am 18 and have been dealing with exactly what your talking about. It’s called derealization/depersonalization. It’s a terrible feeling but it’s harmless. We got this!
@LaurenRose.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Jake. I totally agree with Jenny. It is a terrible feeling but absolutely harmless! It's just your body responding to the excess adrenaline - it sometimes makes you feel as if you're in a dreamlike state. Something that really helps me to deal with that is to do some grounding exercises - really noticing my feet on the ground, my breath, my heartbeat..etc. I breathe deeply and I allow myself to explore the feelings. Hope that helps, sending you so much love.

Lauren I used to rely on public transport but now the trains in Melbourne have changed, the train is up high and I am terrified of heights. Can you do a video for advice or help?
@LaurenRose.
@LaurenRose. 4 года назад
Hi sweetheart! Unfortunately I don't think I'd be much help in this situation, I've never personally dealt with a fear of heights. I imagine though, that its the same as all fear, in that the more you expose yourself to it, the less you fear it. Keep at it my love!

did you experience physical and mental symptoms
@LaurenRose.
@LaurenRose. 5 дней назад
I sure did, the physical symptoms for me were often the worst and the hardest to get through, however the mental side of things was probably the trickiest to 'change'.

Your videos are so helpful!!! Times for people like us are hard right now, as we are encouraged to stay home and refrain from unnecessary outings. I haven’t driven in over a month, and rarely go out.

For sure!! Its a strange time for everyone. Im finding it especially important to focus on the small things, like making sure i journal and get some movement in my body everyday.
