Avec ses équipes, la famille Bonnie investit et s’engage au quotidien afin de suivre une charte environnementale exigeante avec une vision globale agroécologique, où la principale préoccupation est de prendre soin des sols avec une intervention humaine limitée, mesurée, et respectueuse du vivant (végétal, animal, humains). Ces pratiques s’inscrivent dans un quotidien avec une vision globale d’adaptation de l’activité viticole aux nouveaux enjeux environnementaux, de changement climatique… (taille tardive, programme de replantation progressive avec des cépages plus tardifs…) afin de pérenniser le domaine pour les futures générations.
Ainsi, un troupeau de 27 brebis landaises patûrent les espaces verts et entre les rangs tout au long de l'année. Une douzaine d'oies, nées au domaine, également.
C'est ainsi une manière naturelle et très vertueuse d'entretenir un écosystème vivant, un couvert végétal protégeant les sols et pérennisant les sous sols.
With its teams, the Bonnie family invests and commits itself on a daily basis to follow a demanding environmental charter with a global agro-ecological vision, where the main concern is to take care of the soil with limited, measured human intervention, and respect for living things (plants, animals, humans). These practices are part of a daily routine with a global vision of adapting the viticultural activity to new environmental challenges, climate change... (late pruning, progressive replanting program with later grape varieties...) in order to perpetuate the estate for future generations.
A flock of 27 Landes ewes graze the green spaces and between the rows throughout the year. A dozen geese, born on the estate, also graze.
This is a natural and highly virtuous way of maintaining a living ecosystem, with plant cover protecting the soil and perpetuating the subsoil.
