I just got one and its doing the same thing this one does. I didnt crank it more than 4-5 seconds. It does fire off with starting fluid spray, but after it burns that out, it quits. I also found the choke cable was in contact with the muffler pipe. I zip tied that off away from it and will try the longer crank tommorrow. Its pourin rain now. Thanks for the suggestion of the longer cranking times because I didnt know to let it turn over longer. UPDATE!! Theres a fuel shutoff lever below the carb. Cant see it from up top, gotta look in the side. Reach below and under the carb and move the lever all the way to the RABBIT.. ( turtle and rabbit ). Let it sit for a few minutes for fuel to run in the bowl. PPOOFFF!! fired right up.
I purchased H15 at an auction, $3500+fee+tax, the prices are going down, I think the market is getting saturated. I haven't seen any mini excavators at auctions bringing over $5000, even with A/C, $3200 to $4250 range. Mine has A/C in the winter and heat in the summer :) I'm going to put 2 toggle latches on each side of the back to make it easy to get in, use the bolt on the top. A youtuber did that with his H15 The best engine oil for small engines is 15W-40 or 5W-40 full syn., if you use it in the winter. I think that cylinder shape , bottom right side is a 15 micron filter for the pilot control. The hour meter runs with key off, the master has to be off. I'm going to rewire mine to engine switch. I took the side wings off of the bucket to hold logs better. My choke cable has a sharp bend at the engine, I'll have to fix so it doesn't. My first oil change I'm going to put a Drainzit, HON1412-18 hose, 12mmx1.5mm I think. This fits Honda GX390 engine. I'll hookup a pigtail to the battery for a float charger when not being used. Then I'll check hydraulic pressure, thinking 2600-2800 psi???
It was just me not knowing to turn it over longer. It did started with starter spray. But it takes two 10-15 seconds of turning over before it shows any sign of life
I have a nearly identical machine, an HT15 from Hightop. I have been able to track down several replacement parts. If you need any info just let me know.
Mmm ya I will have to look at seems to start ok now still take about 3 ten second cranks when it cold and move the throttle when I choke it. It usally goes but last night I was cranking it with the control lock off and it was firing fast and being a pain so had to give it some starting spray and she went
Why did you throttle up on the initial crank ? Don't do that. No fuel or flooded. Just pull the choke out (no throttle) on a cold start and then push it back in immediately after it starts. Not sure what engine you have in there but mine has 15hp and there is rarely a need to throttle up at any time.
