This brings back fond memories of Julian Bream and John Williams performing duets together. These two young guitarist have the same ability to perform together. The future of the classical guitar is in safe hands❤
Further proof that Gismonti is one of the greatest composers of the late 20th century. So perfectly and movingly interpreted. And - often not acknowledged - a wonderful recording. Ah! I just noticed the recording is by Jakob Schmidt - the George Martin of contemporary guitar production. Muito bom!
Two of the most wonderful young guitarists we are so lucky to have performing today. This piece exemplifies their competence and togetherness with such a joyful result. I follow both of you and am in awe . I have been playing really badly for over 60 yrs but I compensate by listening to those that can play. It is such a joy to have new kids on the block with such musicality Thank to both for giving me so much pleasure Anthony
Your musical instruments complement each other and it gives me the opportunity to listen to the most amazing cover of this magical music. Thank you so much 👍👏🌹🌹🌹💕.
You two make a fabulous pairing / duo, thank you for this and hoping for more in the future (you are both some of my favorite soloists, so only makes sense your performing together would be exemplary) 👏👏👏👏👏
This is just so, so lyrically musical. The phrasing is -literally- pitch perfect. The modest yet exquisite harmonics are such restrained sweetness. Superb!
@@ramonacosta2647Thanks, this is actually the last of four videos they made together last year. The others are Helping Hands, Invitation and Farewell by Sergio Assad
Wow...This piece by Gismonti is so moving, "And his heart no longer feared the flames of hell E o seu coração já não temia as chamas do inferno And of endless darkness. Love would come.E das trevas sem fim. Haveria de chegar o amor." And you made that poem come to life on your guitars. Your musicality is touching the depths of my Soul. Many thanks.
I actually stumbled across Farewell first, then came to your channel hoping to find some similar work. That's an accurate verbal description you provided of this piece by Giomanti. Unfortunately I'm not so articulate and can't do justice to this splendid performance other than to say you conveyed his intent with elegance and nuance. I hope to hear more like this from the two of you.
