Lots of jealousy. People jealous he gets to fly that, that he has a nice watch. That he's with a girl. Maybe if you all weren't a bunch of lazy asses, you'd be doing that too. Instead of finding positives to turn into negatives. Anyway great video and that's awesome you get to fly that. I fly a 300cbi and a Cessna. I can't wait until I can fly the 109s.
He messed up. He should have pushed the buttons before flipping the switches. Oh, and he forgot to thump the fuel gauge to make sure it was working right.
Single pilot with the throttles overhead? When we upgraded from the Huey to the Blackhawk back in the 80s, it became mandatory two pilots for that reason. Everything I knew with engine controls overhead instead of on the collective, I thought it was dual pilot. I guess not. Something about not having ready access to the engine controls if one, or both go. It would be a handful to operate the engines in an emergency while simultaneously managing the collective single pilot to manage rotor RPM etc. Just saying..
Just gotta love the sound of that crank-up/spool-up of the engines ( before and after 1:07). Quick question, did the PF use engine-1 to start (cross-bleed) engine-2?
