The AgustaWestland AW109, originally the Agusta A109 is a lightweight, twin-engine, eight-seat multi-purpose helicopter built by the Italian manufacturer Leonardo S.p.A. (formerly AgustaWestland, merged into the new Finmeccanica since 2016). It was the first all-Italian helicopter to be mass-produced.
Developed as the A109 by Agusta, it originally entered service in 1976 and has since been used in various roles, including light transport, medevac, search-and-rescue, and military roles. The AW109 has been in continuous production for 40 years. The AgustaWestland AW119 is a derivative of the AW109, the main difference being that it is powered only by a single engine.

Yes V.N. is a pretty good place to catch helicopters, it's tough I have to shoot through a chain link fence & very difficult to catch airplanes through the fence. Thank you so much for your comment & for watching 😎👍

@@EdWhisenantAviation Btw I had a patient who flew in the military in 1918. He said he was America’s first army pilot and later became the commander at Kelly AFB in Texas in 1940. He gave me some photos from his career. I am not sure what to do with them, maybe donate them to the Santa Monica Aviation Museum? Any suggestions?

How not to taxi a wheeled helicopter and or fly safe profiles, training means not allowing the trainee to do it incorrectly…..and yes I have flown it for years, teach, and have over 11000 heli hours for the cynics.
