Exactly! Who the hell is he to say that if you don’t race then you don’t need the best protection possible. Thats one of the most asinine comments I’ve ever heard. Last I saw there were no cars coming in the opposite direction in any of those races. Street riders should be wearing BETTER helmets than racers not worse. Crashes on the street are often far far worse than in racing. Not many open gravel pits in the real world so you can just slide until you stop. Not many padded walls either.

@@shadowv6794 I think he said both that and that if anyone got an FIM rated helmet from any other manufacturer, it's a custom helmet. Sounds like that may not be true unless the Race Shark mentioned is only available custom.

Apologies for the confusion, we were referring to the only DOT/FIM Helmet as the Shark is not sold in the US at the moment, therefore won't carry that DOT requirement as well. Probably not a deal breaker for a race level rider, but we should have clarified that in the video. Good catch. - Pat

@@rickynugraha9303 quality and weight are the two things I look for when buying a helmet. I wasn't impressed with the quality, as it is noisy and the rear neck cushion keeps coming out. As for weight, I usually wear a medium or large, but I had to go up to an extra large with this to fit, so weight increased. I also find the viewing range low, but that could be due to having a Bell Bullitt Carbon, which offers so much more range of view due to its design.and the bell is much more lighter. I use the bullitt all the time but hoped this, with the pinlock, could be my spring & fall helmet but I still ended up using the bullitt. Obviously, this is my own opinion, but every comment & review is :) Hope this helps.

@@MrHugawa hello there, first of all not the all helmets are for all of us...as i know some just doesn't fit that right to our head and thats why we can hear wind noise etc.Also the racing helmets as they told me , dont really care about wind noise because you should wear ear plugs when u are on track.

Rossi himself proudly talked about how it would be a nice helmet for long rides if need be so yeah it would be great and it’s one of the safest out there

FIM is a newer standard than SNELL, which factors in rotational impact when testing. FIM is required for most top tier sanctioned races. As for street use: most people refer to this as a Track helmet since aero-features are best suited at higher speeds in full tuck positions. Also, the vents don't close and come with plugs you would need to put in to make rain/etc stay out of the helmet. You can use it on the street (a lot of riders do) but the main intention from AGV was to build a top tier racing helmet, not an everyday commuter.

That all depends on which Arai model you have, as they offer different fitments for their helmets from model to model. However you can adjust the interior of this helmet slightly to fit your head, but not a large amount. Stephanie Granados sorry to hear about your crash. However, AGV makes some of the safest helmets out there. This is not my opinion. It’s based on Sharp tests where AGV has the most 5 star lids of any company, including the Corsa. No helmet can or claims to protect against all foreseeable impacts. Cracking of the shell and destruction of the lining is how impacts are managed. Carbon fiber will crack but so will fiber glass. Only thick polycarbonate tends to flex but that’s not necessarily a great impact management technique.

In a crash the rear spoiler will break away, just like the Corsa R.
