Taking from the race-day technologies gleaned through decades of expert evolution, the AGV Veloce S Helmet brings pro-level features to the daily street rider. As the latest iteration to the Veloce lineup, the S takes the place of the GT for 2017 and in doing so offers a handful of improvements. Most notably, the AG Veloce S provides an updated liner that increases wearability while decreasing noise. Additionally, the new Veloce Helmet now rocks a Q6 visor that comes with a Pinlock 70 in the box. As with its predecessor, the AGV Veloce also features a composite fiber, aramid, and carbon fiber outer shell, refined aerodynamics, superb ventilation, and both DOT and ECE safety certifications.

How the hell does this helmet not have a single detent in the visor mechanism?? I ride a lot with my shield up (because of the windscreen on my bike) and that's a big no-no for me. :/

I tried BELL STAR and RACE STAR, same thing, only have fully open or fully close position, unbelievable... Not a fan of that

Not only does this helmet have no detents, it will not stay opened at any level! Fully opened the visor will slam shut. To bad... Great other then bad visor engineering.

What face shield does it take? Are they interchangeable with the pista?

It takes the Corsa/Pista GP/GT Veloce/Veloce S Shield, so it is interchangeable with the original Corsa. Keep in mind that it's different than the shield for the newer Corsa R and Pista GP R. The Veloce S has an updated interior that is more comfortable than the GT Veloce, but the GT Veloce is on sale now that it is being discontinued, so if you want to save money, the GT Veloce is the better value currently. -DrewZilla

I have one and it will not stay open! The visor slams shut at slow speed bumps! Bad visor engineering.

It's not the best, but it's ok. Arai and Shoei are the best for glasses. -DrewZilla

Hi, I'm debating between this and the Shoei RF-1200 as I've had one before (Need replacement). Reluctant on purchasing due to the lack of info regarding this helmet's ability to properly accommodate glasses. My RF-1200 fit my Ray-Bans just fine and I might just play it safe! I measure 59-60cm and fit fine in a Shoei Large, while in this Helmet I would be a Medium. I've also heard this is slightly more narrow in comparison - is this true?

Yes, I do find the Veloce S to be slightly narrower than the Shoei, and while it does accommodate many glasses, I find the Shoei to accommodate glasses better (for me at least). -DrewZilla

was gonna upgrade to a shoei rf1200 but this might win me over if it fits me. whats the sizing for this agv? shoei large is a perfect fit on my head

philgit123 I had the RF on my head and the GT Veloce. They definitely don't fit the same. The AGV is narrower side to side and longer front to back. It fits like the Shoei GT Air actually

That's a tough comparison. Both are really high quality, and both have an intermediate oval shape. I will say that the Shoei is better if you wear glasses. Otherwise, you can go with either. -DrewZilla

Not exactly. The previous generation, the GT Veloce, was more similar to the Corsa, but the new Veloce S is actually shaped a bit differently and has different interior padding designed to be quieter. -DrewZilla

We haven't been able to confirm fit, but it _should_ fit. Cardo has confirmed fit with the Corsa and K5 helmets from AGV. -DrewZilla

Any universal system will work with this helmet. Our customers tend to enjoy the options from Sena and Cardo the most, since they are mostly all 'universal' bluetooth communication systems you can get it setup on this AGV. Is this helmet compatible with Sena/Cardo intercom systems?

Yes, you can mount any of the Sena and Cardo universal-mount communicators (20S/10S/10R/PackTalk/SmartPack/Freecom). -DrewZilla

RevZilla Thanks for the reply. I was just checking because I remember from the GT Veloce review that the spaces for the speaker's where a bit small to accommodate AGV's own system and not well suited for others.

If you ride mostly in an upright riding position, then the Veloce S is a good option. If you ride a lot in a 3/4 or full tuck riding position, consider the HJC. -DrewZilla
