I bought just today this helmet in matt black. I found that the visor has some different sizes, proportionally to the helmet's size: therefore it's necessary to choose the right size according with your helmet, to avoid air whistles. Then, I absolutely agree with your point about the logo. Beside the bike you ride, I prefer anonymous or blank logo and, let say, despite I'm from Italy I will cover that AGV brand. It would must be optional to show it or not. I own several Bell, Bitwell, DMD, etc. helmets, and I took off or covered every label. Also my Bobber is quite anonymous, all black, just few decals from Oldies
I had no idea. The visor I bought only came in one size...but luckily it still fits. I’m considering just painting the whole helmet in black or plastic dipping it. I don’t mind a discreet logo but the agv logo is just very loud like my Harley 😂
Nice review, both my wife and I have these helmets with the iridium visor, and the helmet is super comfy, did you mention about the air slot in the visor, you can take it out and it has a secret slot in the chin to put it in. I have a 360 camera as well, but I am not a fan of it slowly swinging around it makes viewing it a bit sickly. Nice bike as well.
Hey Dan! Thanks for the comment! Re:360 camera yeah I've learned that it's best used like seasoning. A little goes a long way and too much can be overpowering (A lesson I didn't learn quickly enough). I really like the AGV x3000, probably one of the more refined cafe racer influenced helmets on the market. I forgot to mention the air slot. Funny enough I tried fiddling with it while I was riding and it fell off so I just use the helmet in the summer. 😂
You can totally become the go to RU-vid guy for helmet reviews with your collection. 😂 I love that vent on the visor itself. Any whistling with that vent? And how is at highway speeds? I find all of my retro helmets feel as if they wanna fly off my head at 70mph. Also #teambighead.
I thought about it for a split second, like that could be my “thing”. My buddy wanted me to be the “guy on RU-vid who gets punched in the face while wearing a helmet” to demonstrate protection lol. No whistling, the vent goes into the shell of the helmet so I didn’t hear anything. At highway speeds it didn’t feel too aerodynamic but such is life for retro helmets. You know what they say, the bigger the head, the bigger the...brain.
Yeah the glamster caught my eye but the agv was more available and on sale when I bought this one. I’ve never owned a shoei before but I’ve heard great things
Only one of the clear visors comes pinlock ready I think. Most of the rest of the visors are anti-fog and don't support pinlock. Revzilla, Amazon and AGV's site have the clear pinlock one available for purchase.
Very high quality visor, highly recommend. Just be careful to secure the rubber gasket/vent otherwise it’ll fall off at high speed. I already lost mine. 😭
