Ahsoka: Episodes 1 and 2 Review 

Just watched it, the problem is the acting, everyone is stoic.

Wait, you guys gave a 9 to Obi-Wan, and now just a 7 to Ahsoka??? Damn, then Ahsoka must truly be a 4....

And yet if they didn't explain the rebels stuff you'd probably complain

Obiwan gets a 9, ahsoka gets a 7? It’s like you guys didn’t even watch the shows. Obiwan is complete garbage and there’s no way ahsoka is worse.

Yeah my main issue with Ahsoka and Mando is the high number of flat, emotionless characters and dialog. Huyang had more personality than any human in Ahsoka ep1 and 2.

Finally someone mentions the acting. Mainly, Ashoka, Sabine, and Hera in Ep 1 was most apparent. But, that's the directors fault. The actresses are talented. The others are great though, especially Baylan

Very confusing how Ashoka which didn't finish her training, quit the Jedi order being only a Padawan, and now she is calling herself a Jedi... And Sabine is now training to be a Jedi???? zero sense... Interesting to see how Qui-Gon is killed by a lightsaber, but now Sabine/Reva survive the same type of wound.

You can't trust IGN to give a review for Star Wars when they can't even tell the color of a lightsaber.

Simply put, if Rebels mattered to you, youre gonna love Ahsoka. If you never cared to watch it or still havent, why even bother watching Ahsoka?

Might need to check the color calibration on your screens there IGN, Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati's sabers are orange! Not red. If they follow cannon it suggests maybe they follow somthing akin to the middle path that the Gray Jedi Order's ideas lean into.

It's terrible. Since when Sabine has trained under Ahsoka and is "Force sensitive" ? Where does the TCW Jedi droid come from ? If Marrok is a former Inquisitor, where tf was he in Rebels Seasons 3 and 4 ? Morgan Elsbeth is hyped as this strong Nightsister who helped Thrawn, yet she's never mentioned in any novel or in Rebels. And I'm supposed to believe Sabine can survive a lightsaber stab wound ? Give me a break.....

Terrible acting. Ponderously slow first episode. The map device maguffin had a real ‘Rise of Skywalker’ vibe and made no sense. And when exactly did Ezra get a chance to record a goodbye message before he got swept away?

The 2 episodes were incredible! Don't get why people said slow??! It was amazing! Defo helps being a rebels fan!

Andor and Ahsoka are in complete different timelines. All Jedi Masters are stiff, specially dealing with difficult apprentices. Ahsoka was betrayed by the Jedi Order, and left. She’s not interested in training Padawans that are conflicted and have attachment issues.

The music is probably the best of all the Star Wars TV shows.

Disagree. You missed the point entirely. This is 20+ years after the end of The Clone Wars. Ahsoka is now a mature Jedi (master) and moves through life with the STILLNESS of someone who has a trained and disciplined mind. Rosario Dawson is portraying that stillness perfectly. Certain people are drawn to it. Others are discomfited by it…. As in real life. She saw the mistakes that led to the collapse of the Old order. She is not going to repeat them. She saw what horrors they can unleash (Darth Vader). She also self-aware: calling herself out for her habit of walking away from difficult relationships. These episodes were about world-building and setting the tone of what will be a tense relationship between Ahsoka and Sabine. As she tries to manage a Sabine who was as stubborn, proud and impulsive as she used to be. Things take time when done properly.

Episode one made me cancel Disney + and delete the app. Girl boss girl boss girl boss oh shut up already. They flat dry and irritating. No charisma at all. acting is stiff. Typical Disney fashion.

The background music is not STAR WARS. It must be changed because it destroys the series a lot.

Didn't know that the Loth-Cat was an animatronic, that makes my complaint on the CGI of the cat looking off redundant. Also, for a 7/10 review, this feels like a 3/10 review imo.

This is all you need to know. Someone gets stabbed with a light saber and yet again lives. That is the level of writing we are dealing with here. If that dont bother you go watch it but if that sounds dumb then skip it.

All of star wars are somewhat slow even the originals as a fan who Disappeared and came back to the Siri's this got me back in the star wars

Lol didn't explain the backstory/falling out of Sabine and Ahsoka? Pretty sure thats what this show will explore... If you're a true of Filonis influence on this star wars saga this was great. 10/10

Ahsoka doesn’t feel like ahsoka. her characterisation seems off.

During the first 5 minutes of the first episode, the captain of a spaceship literally jeopardizes the safety of his entire crew via allowing a lone spaceship--which he's suspicious about--to dock just because he wanted to "call their bluff". Disney deserves an award for just how progressively worse they've clearly worked to make Star Wars writing become. Not to mention, it looks expensively cheap.

It was quite solid with a few things to gripe about.

The acting is terrible and flat. The pacing is also incredibly slow for 80% of both episodes

There's no sense of urgency to the acting. Everyone is just striking a pose for the camera. You don't get a sense that there's any real danger

Just finished the first 2 episodes of Ahsoka. Where are all the male characters?. Apart from a few scenes with Ray Stevenson this entire show is packed to the gills with girlboss characters. No balance in the show, none at all.
