Sabine has Ezra's lightsaber. He gave it to her. Probably Ahsoka has been training her to use it since Kanan wasn't around to do it, But he already gave her a few lessons while she had the dark saber
She's an artist, invertor, spy, warrior, Mandalorian, REBEL. She's don't need ancient religions to fight evil (but her master thought her well anyway RIP Kanan Jarrus)
@@rusenakman Being a Force-user doesn't make you part of an ancient religion. Being a Jedi or Sith makes you part of an ancient religion. Anyway, I don't think Sabine self-identifies as a warrior, and being a Mandalorian is extremely easy: it's not something she even had a choice in. I don't recall her being a spy. She did a stint as bounty hunter. She's mostly an artist and demolition expert though.
Ugh, it's so bittersweet seeing Ray Stevenson in what looks to be such an awesome role yet again knocked out of the park, while knowing he's gone. What an incredibly underrated and underutilized actor he was.
I can't imagine that he was planned on being a one season character.... what can a show do about that? You cannot recast him... do some edits to kill him off in season 1 and ruin a whole story line?
I’m old enough to have seen the original Star Wars in the cinema. I have loved this world from day one. Being a massive fan of Rebels, this is easily the most blatant, childlike joy I’ve felt since the summer of 1977. I cannot wait for this series. I’ve been waiting all day to sit and watch this again with you both and it was exactly as much fun as I knew it would be. My nerd girl heart is very happy. Looking forward to watching along with you. ❤ And thank you Game Master Kimberly for letting Jay come play with us. 🥰
The first one I was old enough to see in theaters was The Force Awakens but I wish I could have experienced the prequels in theaters since those are my favorite still. Star Wars has been a big part of my whole life!
I'm not quite that old but pretty sure I saw all of them except New Hope in the cinema. And yes here I am almost 50 years later, also a massive Rebels/Filoniverse fan and still as excited as a kid - it's 4am and I've just spent hours watching all the reactions to this trailer 😆 You guys are my favourite reaction channel, keep it up! 🥰
In MY opinion, Sabine isnt force sensative. But she does hold onto Ezra's light saber. Sabine held the Dark Saber and was being trained by Kanan to wield it, and briefly by Ahsoka. Calling her master could mean a buttload of things: mocking that relationship, or submitting to her training. Anyway, glad we are getting 2 episodes lol
I'm thinking that the force part might be a plot point in the series. She looks like she's trying to use it when Shin replies "you have no power." Although that could just be editing.
That’s how I interpreted it too. She’s either mocking her or accepting the training. And there’s no danger of turning someone like Sabine to the dark side like with Grogu so I can see Ahsoka being willing to teach her to wield Ezrah’s light saber better.

@@Wiley_Coyotenah we’ve seen other none force users use lightsabers. Bounty hunters, mandalorians. It’s a thing. I don’t know why people think you have to be force sensitive to use them. You just won’t be able to use them to their full potential because you can’t augment your movements or it’s movements with the force.
@butterflymage5623 I think mostly its a problem of getting one and then not killing yourself with it. Only a Force user can make a lightsaber but a normal person can wield it. Just not as effectively. A normal person versus a force sensitive in a saber fight would lose.

I'm reading Heir to the Empire now because I remembered that Adam talked about it in the Mandalorian - Ahsoka episode reaction. Great info about Thrawn outside of the Rebels series...even if the books aren't technically cannon anymore. Can't wait for Ahsoka!
They actually got the writer to write another book trilogy based around Thrawn that is considered canon, I've heard its pretty good, havent read it yet though.
To answer some of the questions. 1. Sabine has Ezras lightsaber, that was in Rebels. 2. She calling Ahsoka master feels like her trademark snark, and calling out that Ahsoka may have continued training her to fight with a saber after Rebels, given that it was started in that show. 3. We don't know who those characters are, but considering he talked about Anakin, and she has a padawan braid like in the republic era, I'd assume they were Jedi from the clone wars that have either been lost in the outter rim, and went crazy or something. 4. I can almost guaruntee she's not Mara Jade. Lucas hated her, and Filoni basically learned everything he knows about Star Wars directly from Lucas, so I doubt he'd ever bring her into canon. But who knows really, could be a replacement for her.
I think the whole thing of Lucas hating her is overblown, aside from her marrying Luke, I have heard that video out there of him having a tantrum over him was him acting
The two with the red sabers where named after the Norse wolves; Sköll and Hati, who chase the Sun and Moon, and bring about Ragnarok! The last (RIP) Ray Stevenson is Baylan Skoll, and Ivanna Sakhno is Shin Hati.
I saw Star Wars in theaters in 1977, and have seen every subsequent film in theaters. I love Star Wars. I especially love The Clones Wars and Rebels and The Bad Batch. Those series made me laugh, cheer, ponder, and cry. This looks like it is shaping up to my most favorite live action Star Wars EVER! Okay, maybe tied with The Mandalorian. I do love The Mandalorian very much, I really liked Book of Boba Fett, I loved Andor, but seeing these Rebels characters being brought to life so well, the continuation of the Rebels story plus more extra story goodness. OMG. Thank You So Much to everyone involved. I love Sabine Wren! Always have. I love Hera! I love Ahsoka! #Filoniverse #InFiloniWeTrust
I'm super excited for this show. As someone who's been a fan of Thrawn since '91 when Heir to the Empire first came out, it's going to be amazing to finally see him in live-action! Also, I'll defend that Boba Fett hill with you two! Great reaction!
Heir to the Empire was my first journey into the deeper Star Wars lore/Universe and I never looked back. I'm so hyped to see what carries over from the book if anything and also ALLL the Rebels easter eggs
you matched the energy i had as i watched this trailer, and one of the many unsung heroes of this trailer is that music...it was so cyberpunky there at the end and i'm here for it.
Something I think I’ve figured out that distinguishes good dialogue and bad dialogue that I’ve seen in Star Wars media (and other media too) is that in the bad writing, the characters don’t lie or more often they just say exactly how they’re feeling or just provide exposition (outside of regularly scheduled jokes, of course). There is nothing for an audience to interpret or read into. Any sort of mystery or plot contrived allusion to an inevitable later reveal is hand waved by the character with stuff like “we’ll talk about it later” or “my…backstory… is hard to talk about”. It’s like how high schoolers write dialogue. Bad guys are like “We must destroy” and good guys are like “We must do the right thing even when it is hard”. They seem to think the audience can’t think beyond “OMG! Is that a cameo by a secret character?!” and needs literally everything spelled out for them
Thrawn either floats or sinks this ship and I am rooting on him being the main attraction. He is the Thanos of Star Wars and I hope to god he feels like it.
@@shadowytwilight Avengers movie version. Comics Thanos was never more interesting than a poor copy of Darkseid created by a writer who really liked Kirby's New Gods stories but did not understand what they were about.
Dave Filoni has said Ahsoka is basically Rebels Season 5 LOL. Rebels is my favorite Star Wars thing ever (including movies and shows) and I will be crying at every episode. I know you guys have been super busy these last few months, but I would have loved to see you go through Rebels in preparation. :D
I know you boys have watched Ahsoka and can't post it. So I'm here (again and again) to get my Previewed Ahsoka fix. Also A HUGE THANK YOU for reviewing Rebels and getting me into it (i finished it last week). Ahsoka makes so much more sense having seen REBELS first
It's my birthday today and this is the best birthday gift I could have gotten. My favorite Jedi, my favorite character in all of Star Wars (Thrawn), and a continuation of one of my favorite childhood series. I see red flags, and am choosing to ignore them in hopes it will still be great.
This trailer crystallised what is my favourite part of Star Wars and weirdly, it's the ships! The chills I got from seeing that glimpse of the fleet and geeking out over the fact there was a live action E-Wing made me realise I have fully gien in to the nerd side of the force :D Now all I want is that idea you had for a Rogue/Wraith Squadron show.
I appreciate you guys so much. You just generally love star wars, without hating which is rare today. Thanks for putting a smile on my face every time I watch you guys.
That gave me chills all over again!!! I cannot wait to see this show so much I am going to LOSE it when I see Hayden as Anakin in the show with Rosario as Ahsoka and LOVE Wednesdaysbecause I have Thursday s off to watch Ahsoka over and over ad over
Oh My God I cannot wait for this!!! Ahsoka is my favorite character (and I grew up on Star Wars in the 80's) so this is what I'm most excited for! Adam, I have the same shirt too!
Actually it would make sense that sabine is force sensitive because she was able to use the dark saber even out do kanan during that one episode in rebels so if she is a jedi it would make sense.
This gets a rating of 45/45 birthday cheers from me because it comes out 2 days before my 45th birthday and I'm getting TWO episodes! And I just have to say that my face hurts from smiling and laughing with you two. It's a great feeling. 😁
I feel like that's way too much pressure to put on it lol, since Andor took SW to a level of quality we haven't seen since the originals. But it doesn't need to be on that level, I think it has the potential to top anything else of recent years.
“Your eyes can deceive you, don’t trust them.” That quote can apply to your ears as well; don’t forget that this is a Trailer, with scenes and lines and edits out of context, so don’t take everything you see and hear within it so literally.
Ezra gave sabine his lightsaber during the rebels finale. I feel that ahsoka is just teaching sabine just more of sword combat in general and giving sabine some tips and tricks on what you can do with a lightsaber.
Hello everyone. Back at a day, when I was on college in the 90’s, I played the old styles RPG of Star Wars that was meticulously revised by Lucasfilm, a force user have a lot of levels but if the person can differentiate the weight of the lightsaber combined with his/her mind state could be a prospect. And also the damage inflicted by the combined 2 aspect was much greater, so I’m wonder if Dave Felloni it using this old rules, because in the rebels series, Sabine have the prowess but the mindset not to much, perhaps Ashoka feel the force in her and embrace to training her and we will see the fallout of that as a initial conflict between them. Who knows!
Yeah it makes sense that Ahsoka would continue the training that Kanan started with Sabine back in Rebels. They keep flirting with the Mandalorian Jedi (like the founder of the Mandalorians) I just hope they finally give us one.
Sabine has Ezra's light saber. He left it with her in the series finale of Rebels. right before he confronted Thrawn and warped him into the uncharted region with the space whales.
Since we now know all these Post-Episode VI shows are intertwined with each other, I'm wondering if the casts of Book of Boba Fett or The Mandalorian will make an appearance. At least someone adjacent already is in this trailer: The Magistrate Ahsoka fought in Mandalorian Season 2.
Welp Sabins green saber belongs to Ezra because at the end of rebels when he got captured by Thrawn he left his saber with chopper so the lightsaber we see in sabins hands is Ezra’s saber
So excited for this and I know everyone’s telling you this. Ezra did give Sabine his lightsaber in the Rebels finale. She has used the darksber (and Ezra’s saber) a little bit, but she hadn’t mastered it 1000%
Legends had orange lightsabers, mostly, for grey Jedi. It was a balanced mix of Sith red and Temple Guard yellow. These force users were meant to be better able to adapt their responses and thoughts outside of the doctrines of the two sides of the force being more independent. However they were not necessarily Dark Jedi, as has been suggested for the two characters in this show. Cal Kestis could use one in Jedi:Fallen Order but I think that was because players could pick the lightsaber colour they want to play with. Yaddle and Plo Koon had orange lightsabers in Legends. In canon Yaddles lightsaber was changed to green. The Legends explanation of force users who walk with a foot in both sides of the force has not been adopted by Disney, yet. However, this trailer indicates these 'Dark Jedi' are going to take a different route to legends. If they make screne time to explain it at all. They do not appear to be balancing the two sides of the force they just appear to be antagonists who are not Sith but still Force users. Interested to see how this turns out. Great reaction guys, thanks for all your work.
Love your reaction, as always...but my main question...WHERE IS GARAZEB ORRELIOS???? After being teased in Mando, I haven't seen one shot of him in both trailers... (I could be missing a quick shot or tidbit). But to have all the rest of the Rebels characters...I need me some Zeb.
My only concern is there going to be much story doing both Ahsoka and Rebels in just 8 episodes. Some of the Mando episodes was just aroudn 35 minutes. Hoping for some longer episodes like what we got with Andor.
I mean we know her name: Shin Hati. Ray Stevenson is probably a former Jedi if he knew Anakin, he needs to be more than a simple inquisitor because Ahsoka would have no problem otherwise.
Master Adi Gallia wielded this lightsaber during her time as a Jedi Knight and wielded it after becoming a Jedi Master and eventually a member of the Jedi High Council, wielding it on many battlefronts, including Troiken in the Stark Hyperspace War in 44 BBY and conflict throughout galaxy known as the Clone Wars in 22 BBY until her assassination by Savage Opress on Florrum in 20 BBY. Confirmation of Cal Kestis' orange lightsaber color was the first and these are next. In order of Jedi Fallen. In legends, only Yaddle is orange during the prequels. However, I hope they focus on the fact that unlike other Imperials, Thrawn is not a villain. And I also like the return of Morgan Elsbeth, one of the last living Night Nurses as we know them now. She is the daughter of Nightsister who left Dathomir long before Grevous killed the entire tribe in the Clone Wars.😅😅
As someone who loved the Rebels animated series, I'm really looking forward to seeing Hera, Sabine and Thrawn in a live-action show. Please, Disney, don't drop the ball this time!
I love what i've seen so far! Given we've seen Zeb in the last mando, does this open the door for a Kallus cameo? I'm not even going to touch on Jacen Syndulla!
