The group numbers are always lacking on Idol. lol But since this is my favorite season I like it. And at least, they're really singing unlike this year's crop!
David Cook is not too loud, it's called being soulful. This song sucks badly, but David Cook was great on it and oddly enough Jason sounded pretty good on it. I think David Archuleta is amazing, but I always thought he sounded off when he sang. Like he wasn't on beat all the time.
This performance is so funny. For four talented singers you'd expect a song to sound much better. I blame it on the song choice and the bad/boring choreography. This song is all about timing and it's just too hard to do the song justice when you've got to be worring about where you're going to be walking to next and who's turn it is to sing next and coming in on cue. Plus the melody is flat and doesn't allow them to show off their talent enough. Again, blame it on the song choice.
