AI and automation in action in Higher Education 

AI and automation present opportunities for universities to improve student and staff experience, and to drive operational efficiency. We have re-imagined the Extenuating Circumstances process to bring that to life through a working proof of concept that uses Microsoft technologies - Copilot, Power Platform and Power BI. The demo in this video shows how these can be used to resolve today’s pain points, specifically lack of clarity for students, high-manual burdens for staff, and poor data visibility for management. This is a working demo and based on simulated data e.g. students, courses, curriculums, business rules and management information - no real data has been used, and all persons, situations and dates are fictional.
