AI art is a new achievement as an image-making machine process. It is dependent on existing images and verbal prompts for production. Not all images are art. Combining images of existing art does not necessarily produce art. Models cannot have ineffable influences such as instinct, intuition, and imagination. Visual artists are motivated by all of their senses, not just vision. They share their art-making experience with receptive viewers. The inherent verbal orientation of AI art is a great limitation to making visual art for personal expression. It can, however, be useful for applied art.
