I retired as an art teacher here in Oz ... I also worked and taught airbrush usage from the 1960's on. I remember telling designers, sign writers, muralist back in the 1980's-90's, to be really good you need to improve your drawing skills ... "NO computer can do that for you" ... the idea being one could show clients sketches, or you scan your drawings into (late 1990's) Corel draw or Adobe and clean it up .... I went to that site mate and will admit it all looks "computer generated" but it is amazing ... I'm too far into life and the game to change I think... I guess that's why I love your posts and channel, you put a lot of OLD SCHOOL techniques and skills out there. Even my Doctor saw some photos of my works from just 30-40 years ago and said I should record the process for people to learn... Mate you are doing it and believe me ... I've got tears of age on you. Please keep up your fine work! P.S. Saw the sloppy joe... at least the heat wave is over ... be safe.

Cheers Ken! It's unbelievable what technology can do now. It's not perfect but to get results like that in a few seconds is scary. I've read that it struggles with hands. It can create amazing images but when you look closely at the hands they look pretty daft :D Glad you're still enjoying the vids! I've got plans for another feature length workshop soon but just sourcing the funds. Probably get it out in January :) Take care mate!

@@happygilder You tube's filters have been out. I watched the video, went out and tried it. You are right, its very good. I put as an example a couple of lines about Llareggub, the village from Under Milk Wood by Dylan Tomas in. The image was stunning. Links don't work but if you search for "fishingboatbobbing" all one word, as per the poem, it pops up on the newbies-142 room from last night. On the hands, I tried to see if it could generate watch dials. It wasn't very good at that, with 4 hands etc. Thye are probably too mathematical. ie. They have there own language, and its not worked that out. I was a bit disappointed here since there are huge numbers of images available.
