Honestly, some of the news this week kind of spooked me.
Welcome to What's New(s) in AI for the week of June 17-23.
We talk NVIDIA; Claude 3.5 Sonnet; new voice & audio models; AI in healthcare, environment and safety; Snowden's criticism against OpenAI's appointing of a former NSA director to its board, and more. We also talk about Anthropic's new research into "reward tampering," which to me is the spookiest thing of all. To be honest, I'm hoping that someone can tell me that I misinterpreted the results.

Another great episode! It's crazy that Microsoft fumbled the "Recall" feature when Rewind AI went to a $1B valuation with pretty much the same idea...well, Rewind AI did it first and they implemented the uses in a much more elegant, safer way than Microsoft. Apple is pulling the best chess moves, it's positioning itself to become THE hub (via iPhone/Apple ecosystem) for practical uses of AI in everyday life.
