@@محمدعثمان-ق3ش makes sense wealthy families mostly married good looking people bearing good looking offspring, you can see it with celebrities today so yeah
Well if it went over your rather small head, this is a description of Cersei Lannister, someone defined by her beauty and vanity. And Mad Men has a lot of good looking people, I can take it more seriously than this show
Tbh, if the show had let the Stark kids have that characteristic Tully red hair, contrasted with Arya and Jon’s dark hair, it would’ve made Catelyn’s hurt more apparent. Even tho we know Ned wasn’t unfaithful, it would be hard not to think Jon was his son esp since all his other kids (except Arya) had red hair.
well they cange them to look like ned since the plot that hair coloure is inherited from the father, jeoffry beeing blonde wold have not been such a big deal if rob had red hair
@@olly13d That would be on the show for not properly explaining Eddard's suspicions. The book made it clear that it's not just "child gets father's hair", but rather "every Baratheon-Lannister marriage in history bears Baratheon-looking children". It's not surprising, given there were four or five bastards of Robert's to have "the seed is strong" stick in the books, but the show only detailed Gendry.
@@HayatoByakurai yes i know the books go more in depth, but the show only highligthed the hair part , and even so by that logic jhon snow dosent have hes father hair ,the show plot is inconsistent aniway, but having the stark kids with tully red hair wold have been even more obvious
@@olly13d Always inheriting the father's hair is not a thing, but rather Baratheon black hair is very dominant and almost always produces black-haired children, especiallly when married to Lannisters throughout history.
The Cersei from the books looks like Margot Robbie. I don't know if she would have been able to convey Cersei's ambiguity as Lena. Lena was PERFECT for Cersei
Tbc they’re all described to be extremely attractive except Tyrion. Jamie is considered the most attractive bachelor in the Realm, his sister was the old most beautiful woman of the Realm and Joffrey is constantly attracting younger girls especially for his pouty pink lips.
Its funny how despite also being in his mid thirties, Stannis looks like he should be at least in his mid fifties. I guess a lifetime of resentment and bitterness doesn't age a man well.
Alfie Allen captures the "after" Reek effect, but isn't nearly as handsome as Theon was supposed to be as shown by this AI. Would have been interesting to see it change the same picture to Reek as you said.
I’ll be honest, that AI generated Cersei did not look like a mother of 3 children in the slightest. She looks like she’s never had kids, stress, education, or pain in her life. The Cersei from the show played the part perfectly, she looked like a mother who’s husband is abusive, she looked like she lost her mother as a small kid and her father has been critical of her and her siblings because they’re nobility. She doesn’t look wet behind the ears like the AI generated one lol.
I just tried to generate characters who don't look "perfect", telling it e.g. to make the nose too big or the lips very small. Literally nothing changed to the pictures I got before, which is kinda disappointing when you really want to create realistic characters. So no, there are no ugly persons created by AI, except there is an accident like five fingers too much or some 😂😂
All the characters were aged up for the show. In the books the adults are in their late 20’s or early 30’s. People like Jon and Daenarys are only like 13-15.
@irisamanda3922 i was shocked when i learned that Joffrey was basically around the same age as Jon and Daenerys cuz they were both 13 when the series started. I always assume they were teenagers like in the show
They made everybody unrealistically hot, hotter than any real person could be, and yet even purely in looks the AI Oberyn is NOTHING compared to Pedro Pascal.
My favorite was Brianne of Tarth. Most of the female characters look a little too perfect and super model-ish.. even the dark haired young male characters look too much alike and too much like fashion models.
HOLD UP! WAIT A MINUTE! you mean to tell me the baratheon men are supposed to look like THIS, and in the show they did them dirty???!!! What? Henry Cavill was not available?!
Yes. Ned describes Robert as looking "like a maiden's fantasy", and Renly looks like Robert come again. Renly is (quietly) gay in the books, but he's very much a handsome and masculine jock-type.
Who I think doesn't get enough credit for their portrayal in the show is the actor who plays theon. Dude managed to portray insecurity and inferiority complexes within a human so damn good. The way of how he overcompensates, how his demeanor and tough guy act feels forced just really sells it. He isn't the toughest guy, but the guy that wants to be the toughest guy. You know the saying, the guy in the room who's the most silent is the most dangerous guy around. While theon is the guy that feels the need and urge to constantly bark and show off in order to overcompensate for his insecurities. That was so very nicely captured by his actor.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 "It seriously upgraded Arya"? To be fair Arya is supposed to be beautiful, she's being called that numerous times throughout the books. She was called pretty when she was little too, the bullying only came from Sansa and her friend for having longer face and not being ladylike enough. Plus most of the time she was muddy and wearing boy's clothes. She thinks she's ugly in her POVs or not good enough, but that's bc of the bullying and her horrible Septa. Even Adriana Lima said she never felt pretty because she was called ugly and too skinny lol. Same with Arya, sadly for some people (esp those who criticize themselves) nasty remarks have more weight than compliments.
@@nishaajenkins THANK YOU 😭 I honestly think this "Arya is ugly" comes from ppl who only watched the show, bc there's no way they overlooked so many parts of the books saying the contrary about her
I think we all can agree that the actors were chosen so well that they truly brought justice to the characters. (the only inconvenience were Dany s eyes, not purple in series)
They tried. Emilia could not wear the contact lenses. They could have added it in post production as they did to Vivien Leigh in Gone With the Wind, but chose not to.
Yeah, but I kinda love how the show shifted the aspect from loving Catelyn for her appearance to loving her for her nobility, for the value she has for a sociopath like Baelish. I like the interpretation that young Catelyn was beautiful to Petyr's eye because she meant everything to him, but that she is actually not a Margaery tier supermodel. I really love the casting of Catelyn Stark as a woman-next-door beauty, a face radiating motherly kindness, warmth, wisdom and femininity.
@@lisaerk8487 After Joffery agrees to marry Margaret. Sansa walked down the hall with a big smile of relief. Creepyfinger gets way too close. Checks her out up and down and keeps telling her how much she looks like her mother when she was young
Well I’m glad we still have talented casting directors because I think the show was spot on in capturing the essence of each character. CERSI couldn’t be played by any other human on earth… no matter how they look & that is pure writing/ cinematic/ acting magic!
We need more, there are a lot of characters missing: Tyrion, Tywin, Varys, The hound, The mountain, and the list goes on and on. Night King would be amazing to see too, since it was CGIed into the series, I`d like to see if they nailed it. And also...We need....Rose!
I guess they say for Renly's eyes - sometimes green sometimes blue because in the books GRRM first description of his eyes is that he wears green that matches his eyes. He admitted in an interview that the green was a mistake spotted later by his colleagues. His eyes were always intended to be blue as all Baratheons. It was a fun thing to learn. George makes mistakes as well with such minor things. After all it ia a vast world he created. 😅
True, but she's supposed to be. Similar to her aunt, Lyanna. They put a fierce quality in her eyes, though (the first one). Third one was also nice (her in King's Landing, afraid, yet resilient, a depth of sorrow, yet a survivor). Arya''s my favorite character and I think they did a really good job with her beauty and complex young soul.
I don't think Arya has even been described as ugly, just plain compared to her beautiful older sister. The 'Arya horseface' nickname might just be kids being cruel.
I absolutely love the ai portraits. When I was reading the book years before the show I imagined them approximately like that. I needed quite some time to get used to the series characters' looks after years of imagining them totally different.
So aside from the show aging almost everyone up, avoiding alien eye-colors and the cast looking… well, human, pretty accurate! (Although, it seems that quite a few of these male characters share identical facial bone-structure? I know, there are real mathematical proportions that are supposed to be more/most pleasing, but the fact that is even know should mean there’s an automatic correction-to-flaw -in-symmetry to avoid everyone appearing to be perfectly beautiful.) Ah well! Thank goodness they left the gore, filth and other stuff in!
Simply an amazing rendition! However, when I read the novels and fanfictions,I usually imagine the show's actors portraying their characters。Can't be helped。Though, there are some characters I imagined are portrayed by the actors that never officially appeared on the show, like Rhaegar Targaryen portrayed by Heath Ledger,Howland Reed by David Wenham,Jon Arryn by Liam Neeson,Rhaella Targaryen by Cate Blanchett, young Robert Baratheon by Henry Cavill, young Ned Stark by James McAvoy
I intentionally watched (most of) the show before I read any of the books because it's too hard for me to imagine characters without references like that. I did the same thing with the Lord of the Rings.
@@MatthewTheWanderer LMAO SAME. my brain gets really overwhelmed trying to mentally build the characters' faces/features in each scene while im reading and its honestly so distracting. i loooove when there's an adaption i can use for reference because then the reading is easier. i thought i was the only one who had this problem!
This is completely irrelevant to GoT but AI renly looks almost identical to my Dad when he was in his early 20’s. Though my father has a slightly fuller face and strikingly icey blue eyes. The eyebrows, eye shape, the nose, jaw line, dimpled chin, and most striking the thick wavy raven black hair are spot on. It’s like looking at what my dad might have dressed like if he was a feudal Prince. 😂
It’s hard for me to envision Cersei in the book since Lena Headey did such an amazing job portraying her even with D&D messing up the last 2 seasons. Lena brought out multifaceted elements to Cersei’s character she wasn’t just one sided ambitious, cunning amoral, power hungry & viscous person that are her dominating qualities. Lena also brought out Cersei’s vulnerability and insecurities as well that they are the driving force behind why she does the things that she does.
It’s funny how in some pictures the faces are flawlessly dream-like supermodel-looking faces, and then in quite a few pictures the eye on the left is significantly higher making them look derpy.
Most of these are pretty dead-on, although the one for Ned is WAY too handsome compared to his book description, which is a somewhat dour, long face. When he and Robert were childhood friends, you definitely got the impression that Robert was the one who got all the attention.
Globally I don't like the idealized way ia has portrayed them, they're all smooth and identical, I prefer the much more realistic and authentic physiques of the series.
This is how I pictured the Lannisters and Baratheons looking like, based on descriptions from the books. Everyone else are too good looking in the AI imo.
The ai in this one was amazing they were even better looking than i pictured when reading the books except the girls who are usually described as beautiful as it can get. I hope that this same user makes one for house of the dragons too bring all their appearances too life from the books.
Whenever I get around to reading the books (trying to wait for him to finish before i start but idk if thatll happen), I'm still going to picture the actors of the show lol
I think the AI took too much reference on the series for the targaryen hair hahaha. It looks a lot like the wigs they use, or just like the people who do this degradè silver highlights. It would be something much more elvish and fantasy-like. I want to use some game characters such as Geralt or Siri as example of what it must be, but people would say "it's a game lol", but I have seen many people dying their hair platinum just like that. They can surely produce wigs that look more like it. So yeah
I think all in all the show chose well and we have to keep in mind when we look at the descriptions that Daenerys for example had been what? 13 at the start of the books?
I haven’t read the books in a long time but I do remember Cersei in particular being described as extremely beautiful, albeit aging. I suppose by the same token Jamie is also ridiculously handsome. Danny is basically a fantasy character, so her beauty would indeed be AI like. Being handsome and beautiful though doesn’t mean you’re a 10/10 epitome of peak human attractiveness lol.
